My lips have been very dry & even cracked since its been getting cold
On a whim buy during my EU vacation i bought the 8 hr protectant in the tin fell in love with it. So had to try this SO GLAD I DID! By my first try i could tell it was going to work, by that evening my cracked lips were already smooth & i didnt feel the deep cracks. Its well worth the price if you are having lip issues.

Eight Hour Lip Balm
It was good but really only a more dense version of the original Eight Hour Cream and a bit more expensive for less product. I will continue to buy the original and use it in my lips as I have for years.

Fabulous lip balm, too bad they are not cruelty free
The best Lip product I have ever used in my life! Super smoothing, and kinda creamy, smells like the 8 hour formula EA is known for. Very impressed so far how fast this stuff has healed my lips. I use it with the EA lip scrub which can make my lips look super lush and full. Great product, but as I recently found out, EA does participate in animal testing, due to their greed. They sell their products in China. As a result they test on animals to be able to sell their products in mainland China. So this is the last time I will be purchasing their products until they stop with the animal testing.

Miracle in a jar/tube/lipstick
The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream line is, in my opinion after being a devout fan for at least 40 years, is no less than a miracle in a jar, tube, lipstick. When I was 30 years old my three year old son brought home his beautiful preschool artwork...,and chickenpox. Needless to say, I enjoyed only one of his gifts. I was out for two weeks riddled with chickenpox sores everywhere. I lost count at 10,000 spots. Well, close! One night, in a lot of pain due to one of the sores on my shoulder having become infected, and after trying everything to help with the pain and avoid scarring, I grabbed my eight hour cream ointment, which I religiously used daily on my lips to prevent chapping, and applied the Eight Hour Cream to the area affected by the chickenpox. Within 24 hours the pain had completely disappeared and within a month , the area affected not only was healed but there was not a trace of ever having had chickenpox. No scar. Nothing. That was 30+ years ago and to this day my doctor is still amazed that this miracle in a jar/tube not only healed my sore but completely erased any sign of a scar. Needless to say, I have continued to be a loyal and devout fan, and my family knows what will be included in their Christmas stockings every year!

Don't Get the Hype
As a lip balm fanatic—I have a tube or pot in every pocket, purse or drawer in the house—feel like I've tried every kind at least once, and have come back to this well loved Elizabeth Arden multiple times, based on others reccomendations, only to be disappointed again and again. It's difficult to apply, as it's stiff in the jar, making it more messy than even most other pot lip balms, and its smoothing and soothing properties are just so-so. It really can't compare to more modern brands like Laneige or Tatcha, both of whom have far better pot balms. But it's also not even as good, to my mind, as basic Rosebud Salve.
