Amazing sound and easy on the fingers
I'm not an advanced guitar player by any means, very much a hobbyist who likes to dabble on her Little Martin every now and then. However, I'm not completely unmusical either, as I had lessons growing up, and these sound sublime to my ears. SO much better than regular guitar strings. I even tried the Martin Silk and Steel and they didn't sound as good as these, nor last as long. Silk and Steel in general do not last as long as regular steel/ bronze strings, but these will last you a month or two easy even if you play every single day. They're also MUCH easier on your fingers. So for the sound quality: I have heard silk and steel sound better on short- scale, smaller guitars which mine is, at a scale length of just 23.5'. So this would work well for those of you with a Little Martin or Baby Taylor/ Taylor GS Mini. It's not as metallic and strident as the regular strings, but more mellow, closer to the sound of a nylon- stringed classical guitar. Brilliant for folk music, which is my favourite sound and vibe. These are also the only strings I can play barre chords on with ease, so if you're really having trouble with that as a beginner it might be worthwhile to check these out.In conclusion: I love these strings, and I love the D' Addario Silk and Steel ones more than the other brands I've tried. They feel wonderful to play, and sound amazing to the ear, especially if you play more finger style without a pick and have a smaller bodied, short scale acoustic, and tend to favour a folk vibe. All of which applies to me, which is why I won't be experimenting with any other type or brand. This is the one.

It's a change of style; I wasn't anticipating it to sound this terrific.
These strings have a unique ability to spice things up and add a new chapter of tonal clarity. However, wouldn't expect it to have the same shimmer as the phosphor bronze or the 80/20 bronze. These are soft-voiced strings.Go for these, especially if you have a second guitar; they will undoubtedly help you practise for longer periods of time without causing pain in your finger tips or arm. It's a breeze to play if the action is right.I've never had any troubles tuning them.Despite reports of breakage, I haven't encountered any in the two months since installation.

Original sound track
Sound quality is really good - heard new sounds on my guitar, some songs like "Nothing Else Matters" were sounding like original sound track. Applied today, longevity yet to be tested. for today I am really happy. When I cut the extra wire - could see the (silk) threads - not sure natural silk or synthetic silk, but as long as sound quality is like 'original sound track' - nothing else really matters.

Easy as they come.
Sounds great, easy on the fingers, perfect for beginners, not sure how long they'll last but they've been good for the 2 months I've been playing them on and off. Showing a little rust but I live in a high temperature high humidity environment, so mileage may vary.

It's doesn't have bright tone
It's not bright it's got a feeling of like nylon strings otherwise they are smooth. Especially the sixth string is so low in tune that it's giving same sort of nylon string feelings.
