Karthika Vilakku (Pack of 6) Oil Lamp

Description

These lamps are made of baked clay. Raw clay is shaped into lamps and then dried by sun drying or by baking in furnaces. The spout like opening is where cotton wicks are placed and lit. Oil from the inner pit is absorbed by the wick due to capillary action. The fire lit in the cotton wick uses this oil as fuel.
