Great shoe
Fit well. Seem to hold up well. Look good. They lace snug, but laces were way too long - I replaced them. I use these shoes for hiking and yard work, and they are the best I have found for my skinny feet. Comfortable with all-day use. Good grip. I cannot comment on arch support, as I use custom orthotics.

Big comfort for big guys
I had done research on a number of hiking boots and shoes for bigger guys. I'm 6'1"; 280lbs with a size 13. My wife and I enjoy camping and hiking when we can and I needed something high quality, durable, and above all else comfortable. These boots are absolutely the best hiking boots I've had. I can tell you they've been better then Merrill, Timberlands, Carhartt, and Eddie Bauer. I speak from experience having had them all.If you're a big guy that wants a comfortable supportive hiking boot; these are for you!

Love-Hate relationship
This is my 5th pair. For my feet and a Morton’s toe condition this model Keen has been unequaled in comfort and support although I recommend immediately replacing the insoles with a high quality set for better arch support and thicker material. My Merrills and Hi-TECs had some value to recommend them and much better long lasting construction/durability, but not the equal in comfort level. I wore out several pairs of Targhees hiking the rough central Rockies; enjoyed dry feet in wet conditions hiking Ireland, then Hadrian’s Wall; and definitely challenged the Keens on sharp edged lava rocks in the Oregon Cascades. The uppers did very well. I only had one pair which stitching was a (minor) issue.I hate the durability of the sole construction. Ask any Targhee wearer what they loved ….and what they hated and my guess is it would be comfort ….and tread separation. The sole is a 2 piece arrangement. The glue or bonding of the black tread on the gray foundation fails. When it fails depends on how often and where you wear them, as well as your weight and gait probably, but I had one pair for everyday use on sidewalks or pavement and separation began with 6 months.I am headed for the Camino this summer and my current set of Targhees treads are starting to fail long before they wear down. So here I am, writing my 3rd review of yet another new pair I just bought! Some people never learn maybe. In my case though, I am willing to overlook the flaws.

Awesome boots!
I Love these boots, and I wish I knew about them before today. They've got arch support, which for me is awesome because I'm flat footed. Unfortunate they're just a little but too short for me at a size 13. I'll be swapping them for a 14 and hope for the best.If these boots fit, I'll most likely only buy these instead of other brands.

Soles
I have owned many pairs of these boots. I have always liked them, but the last 4 pairs have fallen apart way too fast. I thought it was just a fluke. I bought more because of the fit and dealt with the flaws. The good: They fit well and feel good right out of the box.The bad: The soles separate from the boot and the traction delaminates from the sole. I have to keep a tube of shoe goo around to keep the traction pads glued to the sole. I do this until the boot separates from the sole. Then they are trashed. Not sure I want to keep spending money on shoes that fall apart so fast.

Purchased for hubby
These are the boots he orders and wears every time we need to get new ones. They are durable, comfortable and waterproof.

Hiking boots that aren't made to hike in.
TLDR: Poor quality boots that fall apart within 3 weeks, design of outsole makes your feet hurt. Boots were delivered on time but in a normal shoe box with a shipping lable and some tape to keep the box closed slapped on it. I've never ordered shoes through amazon before so I don't know if thats normal but I Can say I didn't really like than very much but the boots were undamaged so I guess packaging is packaging. Wore these boots for a total of 3 weeks. One week arround the house to break them in, one at work, then went backpacking in the mountains for 5 days with them. The outsoles started comming off the midsoles at the heels on day number 3 on trail. Also, didn't really think about it until I was already on trail but, the large lug on the balls of the feet concentrate all the force from your steps to a small part of your shoe. Not really noticeable on flat or sort surfaces but up and down rocky trails makes it feel like the bottoms of your feet have been beaten with hammers by the end of the day. I loved my previous pare of keens but with quality and design like this, it will be my last. Returned them as soon as I got home. Save your money and buy something else.

Very Happy with These Boots!
I've been wearing Keen steel-toe construction boots for several years and have been very pleased with the fit and wear. Thought I'd try their hiking boots. I LOVE THEM!! I got lucky with an online order and they fit perfectly! I like them so much, I often wear them casually when we go out. Been on a few hikes and they have an excellent grip tread pattern. They even track well in sand and light snow. Keen's cost a bit more, but I can see myself wearng these for years to come. When they do wear out, I'll probably get another pair just like 'em! Highly recommended!

Perfect for hiking
I have only used them for walking of less than 10 kms so far but they promise to be comfortable for longer hikes especially when paired with Thorlos socks.

Best fit and comfort ever
I have a difficult foot to fit and hiking boots are almost always the hardest. I finally decided to try AmazonPrime because I knew I could always get free return shipment if I was not happy. I carefully followed the on-line sizing instruction then chose the style and make. The KeenMens waterproof Targhee ll mid looked like the exact style and size. It arrived in the mail several days later. High quality workmanship and fit comfortable right out of the box. Wore them several hours around the house and super comfort. Next day wore them on a challenging hike, and super pleased. I will never go boot shopping at outdoor sporting stores again, including MEC.

Keen boots are good for my feet but large sections of tread are coming off this spring
They fit, are comfortable but after 1.5 years the tread is coming off on both shoes. You can see where i have glued the tread back on. I was using the boots for going out during the winter driving the car some walking, not for work or hard activities. My last pair of keen hikers lasted over 5 years i even wore them hiking in Costa Rica this spring. So I hope these are one off a kind problem for Keen

Well priced
Having tried on many types of boots, this is certainly the most comfortable. I have a wide foot and normally a size 11 but the size 12 is so much more comfortable.
