Read to know the Real Tiger
About Book:The writer seems to have done a good deal of research before embarking on the project of writing this book. It gives insight on to the life and culture of the India at that time, but more importantly the feuds among the southern and western states which clearly gave the British advantage they were eyeing for. The Tipu as man was the most informative chapter and sheds the light on personal thoughts and beliefs of the man and how a king finds time to spend with his family. How events of life developed the persona he was.Juggernaut publisher have cleverly printed the book with big fonts and short pages taking to a length of 161 pages, otherwise it is one long essay.Packaging & Shipping:Packed with a box with other products and wrapped in cellophane. Amazon regularly forgets to put bubble wraps on top of the items, causing the box to crushed on arrival. Anyways delivery was on before time and with ATS it is always a good experience.

Getting all the historical facts right and accurate representation
Excellent work by Kate Brittlebank.I am deeply influenced by the sincerity of the author in bringing out the story of a man who is deeply misunderstood and who was existed some 300 years ago, in an India which is remarkably different from today's time.Kudos to the author once again for getting all the historical facts which I wasn't even expecting from a western historian about 18th century India !!!

Too short a book on such an important figure
The book is too short. Probably of a lesser length than of a main article of Caravn magazine. However, praise to the author for the last two chapters which I think were intriguing to read. Those chapters were something that one does not get to read in usual accounts. In the current political atmosphere of the country, the book is a reminder on keeping ones eyes open so as not to be tricked by a cunning politician.Lastly, for a book of such a short length, a cost lf ₹250+ is a little over.

Nice and safe delivery by Amazon
Nice and safe delivery by Amazon .now about the book the book by Kate Brittlebank, "Tiger the life of Tipu Sultan" is an interesting read and very much balanced about the controversial and respected Sultan of Mysore. it also throws light on on his personal life is military success and how he consolidated the Empire he inherited from his father and it is also important to note he was very much respected and held in high regards among his people he was very tolerant and at the same time where is strict about the conduct of British companies

Small and light
The media could not be loaded. This is a small book, you can finish in one or two sittings. Very engaging style; but it is meant for 12- somethings. There are some insights and nice paintings in art paper but it feels like a coffee table book on a budget. It is written by a scholar and is a sympathetic account of the "Tiger of Mysore" and how his dreams came to be shattered.

Concise, beautiful, accurate depiction
This book is amazingly accurate for readers who want to know what actually happened in the life of the first freedom fighter of India. The courage of tipu was unmatched and this book though concise puts you in his shoes. I love the fact that tipu is not demonised like other books because he had good relations with every religion. The author has retained my confidence in reading history again.
