Arrived damaged
Wanted to buy American to support manufacturing in this country. Bought two of these. One must have been dropped from very high. One side was flattened. The other had the brake/locking mechanism bolt sheared off. Could Reelcraft possibly pick a smaller bolt to lock this brake?? Entire locking mechanism was rattling around in the bottom of the box. REELy disappointing.

#REDREEL The Industrial Standard
I own a machine shop so things need to be built to an industrial standard. These Reelcrafts exceed that quality. I've been in shops that have ancient Reelcrafts that still look brand new, despite the dust and oil. I've also yet to ever break or have issues with retracting or locking.Do yourself a favor, buy these before you go through 4 Husky's or Harbor Freight ones.

High price justified ???
The way the hose attaches to the real is a joke. A sorry fitting clamp and no hose protection. After two months of light use, the lock mechanism is starting to only lock in when it wants to. For the exuberant price, I really haven’t found anything all that special about this reel. Maybe longevity could have justified the price but with the lock already malfunctioning, I’m kind of disappointed.
