The Complete Illustrated Children's Bible
For Christmas I bought the Complete Illustrated Children's Bible and it has been a remarkable addition to our family, and I am genuinely delighted with this thoughtful purchase. I bought this particular Bible for my 5-year-old grandson, and it has proven to be an exceptional tool for nurturing his understanding of biblical stories.I love the stunning illustrations that accompany each story. They are not only visually captivating but also play a crucial role in conveying the narratives in a way that resonates with his young mind. The age-appropriate stories are skillfully crafted, making it easy for my grandson to comprehend and sparking meaningful conversations between us.The size of the Bible is just perfect for any young child to hold, allowing my grandson to hold it comfortably. The pages are constructed with a robust material that withstands the enthusiasm of little hands turning them without the worry of tearing. What I appreciate most about this Children's Bible is the way it has become a catalyst for meaningful conversations within our family. Exploring the stories together has created valuable moments for us to discuss important values and lessons, fostering a deeper connection with our faith.

WONDERFUL BIBLE!
This Bible is biblically accurate, with books and verses cited, thorough summaries that are neither too brief nor too lengthy for a youth, and gorgeous illustrations that support the main idea for each page. I have struggled to find a Bible for my kids that is somewhere between a 'kiddie' Bible, has a strong biblical presence, yet isn't too difficult to read for ages 5-13ish. This one is it for me! My students have been enamored with the pictures and can easily connect the illustrations to the words for ample support. Thank you for making this Bible for these in-between, yet curious hearts!

Beautiful, Graphically accurate, Still not fully detailed.
This bible is beautifully illustrated which really captures the attention of my 5 year old. The stories are easy to find due to the table of contents. I feel as though this bible doesn't shy away from the hard stuff but also found that some of the content lacked certain context I would have wanted to deliver with a lesson. Overall, it is a children's bible and I think it was very well put together. I would recommend.

Great first Bible for kids.
Bought for my granddaughter, and she loves it. She is learning to read, so the illustrations definitely help.

Perfect for my almost 4 year old! (And still great now that he's a first grader!)
I cannot speak highly enough of this children's bible. It is absolutely wonderful! It is well worth the price and a must-have for any preschooler.I have several Baby Bibles and Preschooler Devotion Books and neither one was accomplishing the task that I desired. The baby bibles were great when my son was 6 months - 2 years but I was bored reading them to him and there wasn't anything new for him to learn. He enjoys the devotion books but I don't think that they are enough bible training. So on a quest to teach my 3 year old (almost 4) more about the bible, I read lots of reviews on lots of kids bibles. I'm so glad I picked this one!!My son eagerly runs to his room every night at bedtime so that he can learn his next bible story. He is mesmerized with the pictures and asks lots of really good questions based on the illustrations. At first I was concerned that the stories were too short, but I think that the authors do a great job of packing a lot of truth into a short story. I don't think that a preschooler could handle much more. Even though he is able to sit still and listen to bedtime stories for a long time, these kind of stories are different because it challenges him to really think outside of what he is used to and a longer story would be too difficult to process. (Cain & Abel, Sodom & Gomorrah...those are strange new concepts for a little kid to process! But very valuable, I believe.) I often add extra details as we go along to help him understand the story and he asks lots of questions so the time we spend looking at the pictures and talking about the story is longer than just the time it takes to read the words on the page.He often wants to flip back to the map (which he loves!) or illustrations from previous stories as he works in his little mind to put together the timeline and connections between the stories. I love it and it makes me so thrilled to see how excited he is to learn about the bible. Each night we look ahead one story for a little spoiler on what is coming the next night and it seems to be enough to peak his curiosity so that he will be excited for the next story.I think that even a very young baby would like the illustrations in this book. The stories are definitely written for a 3-1/2 or 4 year old to understand (maybe earlier, depending on the kid). I don't know what age he will outgrow this, but I expect that it will be a favorite for a long time. With a night missed here or there it will probably take a full year for us to read through the whole book and I think that it could easily be read again when we're done.UPDATE:My son is now 6-1/2 and he reads this bible to himself. He still enjoys these bible stories every night. We have gone through the whole thing a few times over the past couple of years and he still loves it. We have a few others that we also like now that he's older, but he certainly hasn't outgrown this one yet. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended
One star deducted because the binding is very weak. Ive had to repair it in 4 different places, even though we've been very careful with it.First of all, the artwork is the best I've seen in a children's bible. Beautiful! It's been hard to find a children's Bible that balances simplicity for understanding with accuracy, but this one does a pretty good job. The summary of each story gives me a good place to start with teaching the stories. I also appreciate how many stories are included, even some of the more obscure ones.Side note: I had forgotten how graphic some of the stories in the Old Testament can get. Even though the author has done their best to make it understandable for kids, there is really no way to sugar coat things like King Solomon and the two women fighting over the baby. You'll definitely need to add explanations of your own.
