Classic, Iconic Boot
Doc Martens boots are a timeless blend of style, durability, and comfort. Known for their iconic air-cushioned sole, sturdy leather construction, and distinctive yellow stitching, they offer excellent support for all-day wear. While the break-in period can be tough, once softened, they mold to your feet beautifully. Perfect for casual wear or work, they provide a rugged, rebellious look that pairs well with almost anything. Though they come at a premium price, their longevity makes them a worthwhile investment. If you’re after a classic boot with attitude, Doc Martens won’t disappoint.

Great, comfortable, long wearing boot.
True to size. Purchased for my size 12 Son. This is his second pair. He says they’re the most comfortable boot he’s ever worn.

Perfect
Perfect work shoes. A bit expensive, and uncomfortable for the first week but became the most comfortable pair of shoes ive bought. They are tough enough to withstand blows and things and fit well, from half size go down and just break them in they will be the best.

Heel sliding
1460 slip resistant brown 8 hole: Good quality leather. Fit reminds me of the old days. Thiccc sole. Seems grippy. Not sure if these will squeak on shiny floors. If so, let them be my fanfare. The thick sole is not as airy and bouncy as the original. Adds weight. The fact that the sole is heavier makes my heel slide, causing blisters. For now, moleskin. Hopefully they will get flexible over time and be less of a problem, so for me, yes. The shoes need breaking in. I used Fiebing's saddle soap and Huberd's shoe grease.

Thes boots are a fashion icon, durable for work and comfortable to wear.
These boots are wonderful. The leather is soft and they are so comfortable to wear without having to break in. Doc Martens have been my favorite boots since I was 17 years old. I have a black pair with roses and now these brown boots and I am 67 years old. Obviously they never go out of fashion and this particular boot remains faithful to the original style from 50 years ago.

They "Break Down", not "Break In". (An edited review)
Let's get this out of the way from the top: Doc Marten boots are actually NOT good boots! They use really low quality leather and the soles are heat bonded to the boot. You can not re-sole these boots. Also they have NO SHANK so they offer very little support. They only come in full sizes, so if you are unsure of fit the best bet is to go to a physical store and try some on before ordering. Now with that out of the way...These boots do not, as I stated pre-edit "Break in" fast. Gone are the days of Doc's breaking in and fitting your foot comfortably. These are nothing like pre-90's Doc's!Seven months of light wear and the leather has softened up with the usual mink oil treatment. The exterior of the boot still looks good, as does the exterior of the sole.HOWEVER the inside of the boot has "Broken Down" the padding is as good as a sheet of paper, the seam across the top of the boot at the first eyelet that usually is a tough spot to loosen up and break in has still not broken in. The boots at this point are good for a quick walk across a parking lot in the rain, but not much else. They are going in the trash bin once this review is posted.By contrast I bought a pair of used, made in the 1980's docs that were "near new" and they are night and day to what these boots are.Nostalgia is one Hell of a drug, but that drug is not enough to numb the foot pain these boots that "Break down" and not "Break in" cause.

Breaking them in
Excellent boots if you want a pair of boots that you can work in out in the yard where there might be venomous snakes and a pair of boots that will also take you out on the town. They are a classic boot that will last you a lifetime if properly cared for.Be prepared for breaking them in. It's no joke. It takes awhile and by awhile I mean at least 6 weeks and that is by wearing them just for awhile around the house every night or day with 2 layers of thick hiking socks. And awhile could be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours or until your feet start screaming at you. Whichever comes first.
