First of all, let me say this is a great book. As a book, that is. As a book for the Kindle, not so much.I have seen other reviews of books in this series, criticizing the size, the format, etc. Personally, I like these books; I like the smaller size and the chords and lyrics only format of the songs. I own a copy of the paperback edition of this book. So I thought I would get the Kindle edition in order to have a copy on my Kindle for easy access to a bunch of songs to play and learn. I was so disappointed I returned it for a refund.It is not the size that is the problem, I have a Kindle Fire HD and it displays the pages large enough to see easily. No, it is just that this looks like a sloppy scan of a book that was thrown together just to try to cash in on the ebook market. The cover looks fine, but the title page literally is a black and white scan of the title page of the book with the cover torn off. The reader can see the torn page in the image; they didn't even edit it to make it look better. After that, the pages look like they were hastily scanned from an old, dogeared copy some one left in Hal Leonard's bathroom. The scans aren't clean, they look like 3rd or 4th generation photocopies with marks and spots etc. on every page. They aren't even lined up properly and in more than one instance lines of text are cut off, obscuring the lyrics and chords of the songs themselves. I understand that a Kindle book is basically just a scan of a physical book, but one would expect the publisher to at least start with a decent copy with clean pages.Bottom line: This is a good book in paperback format, otherwise save your money.

I think this is a great collection of songs in a great format. I disagree with the previous reviewer who preferred the larger format, standard sheet music sized books. I think the 6x9 inch size (which is even stated in the item's title) is great for throwing in a gig bag and carrying around. Granted, the glued binding makes it harder to keep open than some other formats, but with a little bending, it stays open just fine.After years of transcribing songs myself, or getting inaccurate versions off of the internet and carrying around a big binder full of printouts, I found that this collection of Hal Leonard chord songbooks in small format is perfect for me.If you like having the lyrics and accurate chord transcriptions (this is not note-for-note transcription, but chords only) in a portable format to bring to gigs or parties, then this book and the others in this series are for you.

Small book. Great selection of songs.

Good song selection. I posted a couple song examples to show the format. A brief melody line, the chord diagrams, and lyrics with chord changes. Pretty straight forward. I also bought the folk and classic rock books and they are structured the same way. Enjoying all three and recommend them for folks. You need to know the songs before playing-it would be, in my opinion, difficult to learn a song without having heard it-but I think that’s fairly standard for chord books.

Yes, did a bit of alright here, in this one. With the chord frame and sample staff (the first bar, that is), make my only complaint a simple one. It needs to be a bit bigger so it's easier to read, for those of us who wear glasses - LOL

Awesome little book. Chords seem to be very accurate which is a pleasant surprise. Often I find books to tell you to play weird chords based on a piano transcription. Not this book - they tell you where a capo is needed.Love the small size as it fits perfectly in my gig bag. Great selection of songs. For a small price getting 80 songs is pretty sweet.

Excellent guitar chord songbook! Good selection of songs and the way it shows the guitar chord diagrams makes it relatively easy to play with some practice. I like the size of the book because I can open it to a song I want to play and make a letter size copy. Have purchased several books in this series and highly recommend it!

I bought this for my partner who has just picked up the acoustic guitar again. It is very good as it has quite easy songs at the beginning and progressively gets more difficult.

At first I was sceptical, such a lot ( 80 Songs ) for so little money.But I am really glad I bought this book, it is very very easy to read and the songs are simply displayed.After each song title, the songs measure, and a picture diagram of all the cords in the song are displayed, then it's just the words with the cord names above them, and the song flows like it does in the recording. I like this, as I am novice guitar player and find some sheet music difficult to follow, bridges, codas etc...I'm easily lost, and have to revert to the original recording to find the flow.Some really great classic songs packed into such a small package, fits nicely into the guitar bag to boot.Enjoyneil

Il libro è con copertina flessibile, le canzoni hanno le lyrics e gli accordi anglosassoni sopra a ogni frase. Il grosso problema di questo libro è che ogni canzone è scritta in più pagine e si deve voltare pagina mentre si suona, in più il libro lo devi piegare molto perché stia aperto su una pagina e non si richiuda. Le due stelle sono dovute a questi due problemi. C'è anche da dire che per il prezzo non si può pretendere troppo, però dover sfogliare mentre suoni è veramente odioso.

I like the guitar but the string is to weak and easy snap when adjusting the tone
