Can I use this for freshwater plants?

Yes, it is a phosphorous supplement and is similar to our Florin P. Please fill out the webform on the Brightwell site and we will try to help you with dosing. We will need to know something about the plants you are keeping and the size of your aquarium.

Does this increase phosphate levels?

Yes, that’s exactly what this is for. They include the calculation on the back to determine exactly how much to dose to reach your desired levels. Great product.

Do you have to use this in conjunction with the NeoNitrate additiive that they also make?

It is not required. If you are just phosphate deficient just add the neophos if your ok with the nitrate. However, if you are also nitrate deficient then yes you can use together. But you don’t have to use them together if you don’t need to.

Effective!

This is a really good option for low nutrient saltwater tank! It’s does have a little smell in bottle but will not change smells on your tank. Have to be very careful to follow the bottle’s instructions a dose small amounts each day until hitting your target because it performs well! Be careful to monitor your nitrates because they work hand in hand.Calculations are easy to follow - everything is in the bottle.Due to the small mount you really need to raise your levels this bottle is definitely worth your money as it will last a good amount of time.

Neophos

Brightwell makes amazing products, but the packaging needs improvement.I’m a frequent customer and have purchased several times on Amazon products I can’t find at my local fish store (LFS). However, I’ve noticed that delivery through Amazon often causes issues with the packaging: the container’s seal is fragile and can break with the slightest impact. In addition, the screw-on lid does not fully secure the contents, making it easy for the product to spill.Unfortunately, today I woke up to find 2 liters of NEOPHOS spilled all over my living room floor. It’s frustrating to lose such a high-quality product due to a packaging flaw. Brightwell should consider a more durable packaging design to prevent these kinds of incidents.

Works Well - Maybe Too Well?

This product will indeed increase your NO3. Just be careful how much you add. I would recommend using the dosage for HALF your system water volume at first because you may end up bumping nitrates too high. You might avoid dinos, but can accidentally spike algae. Proceed with caution.

Easy to dose, reliable

I was having no detectable phosphates in my mixed reef tank and my alkalinity was a little high. I lost two acroporas due to the lack of Phosphates. I started using NeoPhos and the remaining 4 all healed and started showing color. I went from a pure green RR Pink Cadillac to a beautiful pink Pink Cadillac just the way it's supposed to look! I've recently added 10 more Acros and all 14 are healthy and happy with th daily doses of NeoPhos to keep my tank on track!
