Works Good So Far
I've only had it intstalled on my VFR800 for a couple of weeks so it's too soon to tell but so far so good. I will try to update my review as I have more miles on it.

Solid construction and plug and play with a 6th gen VFR800
Original review--------The construction seems very solid, has the newer MOSFET design, and the unit mounts up easily with the OEM screws once removing the old rectifier from under the left side fairing near top of the tank. After reading so many issues on the VFR forums about rectifier failure I decided to replace my original unit from an 03 VFR800 with 28K miles before it went out and took the stator or wiring harness with it. Let's hope this second unit lasts until 100K miles and keeps any electrical gremlins at bay.-------Longterm update. The unit failed after a few months and took out my stator. The quality control just isn't there to keep the electricity from blowing out the MOSFETs. Go with the old style hotter running OEM rectifier which can properly handle the loads.

better than stock
It's so much better than the stock one. The stock one is alright but it runs on resistors and heats up a lot. The Ricks one is so much better because of its mosfet design and it's more efficient.

Satisfied so far.
Nothing but bad comments on all the VFR forums but installing the item was easy and it seems to be performing as advertised.
