As seasons change, those who walk or do other things outside, get salty and itchy.
I am about to buy my 7th. They so hit the spot that they leave other tools such as this in the dust. Especially as the seasons changed, I have one at my desk, in my bathroom, in my car and give them as an affordable gift. I tell people why I gave it to them and after they try it, they tell me that they agree that there is nothing I could buy for any amount of money that would do any better.

Curved Backscratcher
I have very limited use of my shoulders due to an infection that caused permanent damage. When you have an itch that you can’t reach, it can be very frustrating! I have purchased so many backscratchers that didn’t have the right curve to get to the middle of my back. My sister actually found this one online and suggested I take a look. Finally, a backscratcher that actually curves just enough to get the middle of my back!!!

Excellent scratcher!
This is an effective back scratcher. I suffer with a paresthesia over my scapula and the nerve abnormality causes an intense itch. I found the prong end of this scratcher to be much more effective on the itch than the smooth wood end.The scratcher was long and easy to grip. Its curve seemed to cause more pressure on which ever end I used. No skin lacerations with either end. Highly recommend this product.

Itchstix - great back scratcher, used to be better
I have one of these Itchstix from a couple years ago, and I ordered another one recently, and although the format and materials are the same, the quality is not as good. Sure, it still scratches the itch, but the previous version was better. It comes down to the finish work, they used to sand these down to a smoother well refined nearly heirloom quality tool and put multiple coats of finish on the bamboo, and came down to a nice sharp fingernail-like edge. Now, it's a thick stick, hastily shaped with one thin coat of finish at best, and a wide format at the edge (not very fingernail-like). Despite this reduction in quality, it's still a better back scratcher than most with it's prominent arch and extra length, and the plastic prickly strip on the other end remaining unchanged (this is good).

Great product, I disagree with those who said that it is hard to use
First of all I'd like to say that I have both Back and Shoulder problems and reaching my back can be difficult for me. I am 6'1" and have a long torso and I found that this product was great. It was sturdy and efficiently relieves me of itching. I've had it for almost a month now and use it a couple times each day at least. I'd also like to say that other than those cheaply made wooden ones from the dollar store this is the only back scratcher I've purchased. I saw cheaper ones, some metal and some wood, but what caught my eye and made this stand out was 1) the curved design and 2) the scratch pad.I've read people saying it was too thin. The wood is sturdy with a nice finish. I measured it just over a half inch by a quarter inch and is very sturdy. If they're talking about the scratch pad being thin, all you have to do is move it while you scratch to cover more area.I've read people saying it was too short or hard to use, that it keeps rolling over, it is too slippery or underperforms. Maybe this is more of an operator problem than product problem. So I'm' going to help you by telling you how I use it so that it is efficient. The two pictures demonstrate where I hold the product.1) Scratch pad - When I want to use the scratch pad and am going under my shoulder (shown in picture) I seat my thumb in the curved area of the opposite side applying pressure with my index finger (pointer) and middle finger. The ring finger and pinky rest on the back of the wood providing support and control. If I am using the scratcher by going over my shoulder, the thumb is still seated inside the curve and I just use my index and middle fingers for support and control.2) Finger side (not sure what they call this side officially)- Going over my shoulder I hold my thumb at the inner end of the scratch pad while the other fingers provide support and control (shown in picture). If I am going under my shoulder I simply pivot the scratcher 180 degrees with my thumb in the same area, all 4 fingers again in the back for support and control.Using this product the ways I described above with over 50 uses, I could reach my entire back easily, no slips, no problem with the length, no problem with the thickness of the ends, and never rolled over once.I hope this helps
