Be very careful!
The equivalent item from a well known manufacturer is nearly 5 times the price ... for a reason! The bottom of this auger does not have a plate that restricts how much material it will remove. The result of this is that it will screw itself into the ground very quickly indeed, and then it's a real mission to get it out again - SDS Max drills do not have a reverse gear.For the price, it's been built pretty well. Its been used to make many, many holes so far but you really need to be careful with it. You can easily spend 1 minute making a hole and then 20 minutes trying to get the auger out of the hole because it dug itself in. Not the best design.I've had mine modified by a local fabricator so that it has a restrictor plate. Now its a lot better and a lot safer.
