This brief guide to contemporary Greek culture and ways is both interesting and—I’m sure for anyone doing business in Greece or with Greeks (not describing me)—useful.

nice history and overview before traveling there

This book was very hard to read. There was nothing nice to read about the people or the beauty of Greece.I wanted more tourist information such as where the beautiful beaches were and what beautiful things to see outside of the obvious Olympia and Athens. I will have to read Matt Barrett’s book hopefully before we leave.

Heavy on history, light on customs and culture. If you want to be well prepared to interface with Greeks during your stay, this book will be of little value.

This book is very short & not the information I needed to plan a trip. One star is for insightful information on the locals.

Was looking for more travel info. Many views expressed are quite open for debate. Turkish perfidy glossed over. Modern Greek history far from objective.

This is not a travel guide, but more of history customs of people in greece. I was expecting a travel guide on restaurant places etc
