Best buy of the year!
The other day I was caught in a downpour. When I say downpour I mean D-O-W-N-P-O-U-R! I spent about 10 seconds (or less) running from my car into Dillard's. I was absolutely and positively soaked! I could wring out my hair, it was so bad. I realized then that I needed to keep some sort of raincoat in the car, again. Actually, I have an SUV and I keep a duffel bag in the car with all kinds of emergency schtuff. I used to live in Alaska and that was pretty much required. Old habits, die hard, I guess.Anyway, to my dismay there was nothing in that bag for rain. What was I thinking?!After searching around here at Amazon, I decided that this was the one I wanted. What a great buy! It is much better than I thought it would be. Below are my pros and cons:+ Has a flap around the snaps, to prevent water from getting through the openings between snaps.+ Is longer than I expected. It goes down to my mid-calf and I'm tall.+ Has a soft inner lining. Actually, that should be softer. It's not baby soft but beats rubber against your skin.+ Has arm pit air holes.+ It comes in a fairly good quality zippered bag, so can be folded and put back into the bag for my car's duffel.+ Price, price, price!!!- Hood is detachable. This was a problem also in Alaska. It's been my experience that all hoods that detach get lost. We're talking several hundred dollar parkas that have missing hoods. THAT gets very upsetting and this may be no different (except price of course). A rain coat is only worn in the rain, so a hood is a necessity. There should be no reason to remove it.For an in-the-middle observation, it's neither thick nor thin. It's not as thick as I would have liked it to be (if I could wave my magic wand), but it is thicker than I expected to be, especially after reading all the angry thickness reviews.I saw that they said it was designed to fit over your clothes, but I still went one size up. I now live in Mobile, Alabama (yeah, the exact opposite of Alaskan weather) where it rains all the time, even in winter. For this reason, I wanted it to fit over my somewhat-winter coat too. This coat was actually bigger than I expected. If I had to do it again, I'm not sure I'd go one size up. Just thought that may be helpful to some. Maybe not.The quality is average, but I'd say better than Walmart clothes. Most of my Walmart clothes begin falling apart after their first wash, if that long. I don't expect this to have any problems, unless mistreated. All in all, I'm very pleased and I highly recommend it.

Handles a bomb cyclone without ripping.
This vinyl is bonded to a strong material so the coat is very thick and sturdy, yet flexible enough. I spent three hours in the worst part of a California atmospheric river digging trenches, laying gravel, and filling and placing sandbags. It didn’t rip, I never felt it in danger of ripping, it kept me dry, and it was thick enough to stay in place instead of blowing up in the wind. The sleeves are REALLY long, but they come with snaps at the cuff end so they stayed up above my hands. (I may cut them shorter at some point.) As for length, I’m 5’5” and the hem went an inch or so below the top of my mid-calf rain boots. This is a really great product at a great price.

Okay product
Okay product. Came on time, nice quality. It’s huge! I got a large because medium was going to come too late. Smells very much of plastic. Gives me a headache, I recommend airing it out. But for the price, very good quality!

Quality belies the low price
Previous reviews inspired me to buy this trench coat for my husband for an emergency when he needs something fast for heavy rain. This coat does not disappoint! In the past we had used disposable ponchos, but on a windy day they didn't serve, so this looked like a good solution. My husband is 6 foot 6 inches tall, 195 pound and wears a size 42 extra-long suit coat. The Medium fit him perfectly across the shoulders and was long enough to reach his knees and cover his arms to his wrists. However, if he should have to wear a bulky coat or sweater it would be tight, so I ordered the Large for him and kept the Medium for myself. I am 5 foot 8 inches tall 140 pounds and usually wear a size 8. The medium coat on me falls to mid calf, the sleeves drop halfway down my hands (not a bad thing in a downpour) and is roomy enough to layer a jacket underneath.I can't attest to the breathability (since it is PVC probably none) but for a cold, windy rain this is great and the price is right for our intended use.

Very well made
I got this for a costume and I am very well impressed with how well made it is. I will continue to utilize this for heavier rains. Holds up well to downpours and offers great protection.

A perfectly well-made rain slicker that does just what I want it to do...
For the price, this is a really decent rain slicker. It is light enough to not feel heavy while wearing it and not encumber motion, yet plenty heavy to repel the heaviest rain. I have been using this while I pressure wash home exteriors and it works nicely to keep me dry It really only has one function - to repel water. This is not a heavy-duty work coat or a keep-you-warm sort of coat. It's just a basic rain slicker that comes in rubber duck yellow. It does just what it is designed to do - no more and no less. If you are needing an inexpensive rain slicker for your work duties or your pedestrian commute, this is a good one to try out.

Snaps are for a very lightweight coat not this heavy duty one
Snaps are for a very lightweight coat not this heavy duty one. I am looking for some old fashioned hook type that I can add. the snaps are for like a plastic bag weighted coat. this is heavy.also not able to move leggs if bottom is snapped so not so good there.

Great Value
This raincoat is better than I expected for the cost. It is a good weight and the seams are done well.I ordered a large to be able to fit it over anything, including heavy clothing. I am 5'1" and it comes to just above my ankles. The medium would have fit over standard clothing. Sleeves are too long on me but I expected that. It's a great rain coat for rainy ranch days. The hood is large enough for full coverage. Nothing skimpy about this coat except the price.
