Gogo Tuners Tiki - Ukulele Chromatic Clip-On Tuner

I love this tuner and just ordered my third one. I also have the Gogo TT-1 tuner and I actually prefer using this one for general tuning, even for my guitars.The display is very bright and has multiple visual cues to let you know you are in tune: it has a "needle", a large triagle that lights up, and the whole color scheme turns from orange (they call it red) to green when in tune.The Tiki has three modes for tuning: Ukulele-C (can do both high and low-G), Ukulele-D, and Chromatic. Both the TT-1 and Tiki are a bit slower to respond when using one of the instrument modes (like Ukulele-C on the Tiki or Guitar on the TT-1). However, both are fast when in chromatic mode.The plastic shell is actually brown (on my monitor, the picture looks kind of reddish-orange). The clip seems adequate, but is the most likely point of mechanical failure (this is true of pretty much every clip-on tuner I've seen...except maybe the Korg which I have not yet seen in person). I like that the tilt hinge has a real nut/bolt so you can tighten it when it inevitably loosens over time. The swivel at the clip, however, does not have a visible screw that can be tightened (it might be there under the rubber grip pad...not sure).The Tiki controls consist of a single button: long press to turn on/off and (when on) serves as a mode selector. The Tiki will turn itself off after 3 min if no vibrations are detected. The TT-1 is more versatile (more instrument modes, but no ukulele ones, can do drop tuning, and can tune via vibrations (clip-on mode) or via microphone) and has many more buttons. However, the buttons can rattle during play so you cannot leave it on. Whereas in the two samples I have so far, there is no buzz and you can just leave the Tiki on if you wish.For general tuning (just put it in Chromatic mode for maximum versatility) I much prefer the Tiki over the TT-1. The Tiki is smaller, simpler to use (just one button!), and doesn't rattle. However, if I were restringing my guitar, I'd probably use the TT-1.For the price, simplicity, and size, the Tiki is the one I want in every case...which is why I just ordered my third one. Even my very young daughter has one for her ukulele (which they teach at her elementary school).

I'm so happy with this tuner! It works great for both my soprano gCEA and my DGBE baritone (using the chromatic setting for the Bari). It's so much smaller than my husband's (much more expensive from the music shop) Snark and I don't mind leaving it on while playing. I read a review that questioned the quality of the plastic and have to mention that I was surprised by the quality after reading that. It's a matte finish with a nice hand for the main body and the clip is shiny and feels sturdy. The rusty red-brown color is nice, not the red shown in the photo.I've used it frequently for a few weeks after I changed out the soprano's strings to Aquila, and am very happy with it.

The best! The display is bright and clear under all conditions. The LED screen and digital indication are large enough to be seen from almost every angle, unlike many other brands. The grip is solid and protected so there are no scratches on your ukulele. The tonal measurements seems spot on. I have absolutely no issues with the Tiki and now own two of them. I had three but a friend liked it so much, I had to spread the Aloha and gift it to them.

Got it today, Took it out of package and installed battery. Turned it on and mounted it on my Ukulele. Wow, was I out of tune. (tuned this morning with a tuning pipe) The Tuner was very easy to use. It is like a dial indicator. Center is in tune, Both Red for out and green for in tune glow. Fast also........This is a great product...Worth a few extra bucks...........I love it.....Get one.

It is so nice to have this electronic tuner attached to my Baritone Ukelele, makes keeping it in tune so much easier. This electronic tuner is easy to use, and in no time, the Uke is ready for the next singalong!

This tuner is absolutely AMAZING. I tried this out in my classroom and the tuner actually reads the vibrations - so it only works when attached to the instrument. All 30 of my students can tune at the same time. Saves time and makes tuning so much easier for all my students!

The Tiki Clip Tuner for the Ukulele is easy to use. It clips onto the ukulele, has large letters, and the letters turn green when it's in tune. I have no complaints.

Love it, simple to use and easy to read. I have recommended this products to other ukulele players. You won't be disappointed with this little tuner.
