Great stuff having used it yet

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

The battery you need is a CR17505. Although you can use a single AA battery, as it is the correct length, it's diameter does not fill the compartment.The knife leaves a bit to be desired. It has a tendency to open up in your pocket or when pulling out of your pocket due to the thumb stud design.

This pack is an awesome pack for day trip outings to keep you safe and secure throughout the night, should the need arise. The fact that it is all together is great and SUPER convenient!The flash light does not come with a battery, but that is not a draw back, by any means, considering that would change the shelf life of the product.I have not been able to go through a full field test with everything but I did a preliminary little run through and everything seems up to par. This isn't meant to be the only thing you take camping with you, but to get you through a night or two in the wilderness, with a little know-how, you should definitely be off to a great start with this pack.

Mine came today. There's a lot in the little bag. Once I had everything out I was very impressed. The bag comes with velcro American flag and was just cool to add on. The flashlight has no batteries and there was nothing saying what size or kind it took. Also, the advertisers say 'cold steel knife', but nowhere does it say cold steel. Play on words. BUT....that said....it is a nice knife. The spoon knife combo fits inside the whistle....pretty cool. Pen in heavy duty and can definitely be used as a weapon. Overall....I was expecting less....but, this package is very nice. Worth the money. I would have loved this as a Christmas gift.

This impressive selection of tools is a must have for basic camping or survival needs. The items are of good quality & the compact size would fit easily in a backpack or car. The fire starter works great, the paracord bracelet is a great addition to the kit with its built-in firestarter & compass and the glass break pen is a definite must have for the car for emergencies. Just be sure to supply your own battery for the flashlight & add in some basic first aid supplies & this would be a perfect kit

Bought it on a lighting sale, but was surprised by what I received. Decent quality Items and plenty of them. The Reason that I bought it was for an emergency kit for the vehicle. It was a good started kit, but I feel other items should be included if it is to be used for a purpose. (retired emergency worker and avid outdoorsman)

This kit is great for when we go camping/hiking. I I feel like the picture makes it seem bigger but it is really compact so easy to fit in a backpack//car/etc. I got everything out to look at it and could not get it all back in with the padding in the case. The flashlight doesn't have the batteries included so make sure to put these in prior to heading out on your adventure. This has everything I need for my next adventure except a first aid kit!
