This instantly works and soothes
Mum has really bad flare up of arthritis in the knee and found the pain unbearable. She is not allowed to take anti inflammatory medication. This was recommended by a friend and my Mum highly recommends it. It instantly relieved the throbbing ache in her knee and almost numbed the pain. It works by cooling and numbing the area. This isn’t too short lasting either and a great combo with painkillers to make her more comfortable. She loves the smell too. Menthol / eucalyptus scent.Remember to wash hands well after use 👍

Expensive but works for a while as long as you don't mind your clothes and towels turning blue.
I've been using this on a trapped nerve in my shoulder for the last 2.5 weeks. I'd have been in trouble without it. I had to rub this onto my shoulder, armpit and all down my arm every 1 to 2 hours when it was at its worst along with taking paracetamol. This enabled me to go visit my dad in a care home, carry or lift things, drive, and do my job in the day, all of which would've been a challenge otherwise. And by the way there were quite a few times I took this without the paracetamol and it still significantly relieves the pain. Probably more effectively than the paracetamol to be fair. But it is only a temporary relief and you have to keep rubbing it on. As such, anything you are wearing that doesn't happen to be blue, may well become blue and any towel you use may get blue on them too. I learned to only wear blue t shirts while using it. It would be far better in my opinion if it was just a clear gel but I get the marketing gimmick aspect. I also found clothes tended to stick to me after using it so I'd have to pull them away - they were fine after that until the next application. There's quite a strong smell of eucalyptus from the gel but I didn't personally find this to be a problem.Once you apply it, there's a couple of minutes delay but then you start to feel it take effect - almost like a cold burning sensation and the pain numbs for a good while.Using it this way I got through 3 tubes in just under 2 weeks. But I was covering quite a big area of skin with each application. You have to be careful to thoroughly wash your hands after each application, lest you rub your eyes and get a mad eye burn! The only thing to bear in mind is that, by numbing the pain, you are freeing yourself up to use the affected body part in ways which may exacerbate the injury. So this should just be a temporary sticking plaster until you can get properly examined by a doctor which needs to happen ASAP. Given my unusual circumstances that week, I couldn't do that and I made my injury temporarily worse, which trust me is NOT a good idea!I think it could probably be a lot cheaper but pain relief sells so what are you gonna do!I'd certainly recommend this as temporary sticking plaster for muscular injuries or trapped nerves until you can see a doctor.

They're not bad, but I don't think it is as good as other products
For many months I was using deep freeze, but then I changed to this as it was a good price and 3 bottles came with it. However, now that I have started to use them I can tell that Polar Frost can't quite reach the same temperatures as other products like Deep Freeze and, for me, it feels like it isn't doing as much. This is not to say that it does nothing, like it does help a lot, after a rehab session or sports session, but I think other products are better.

Top class pain relief without burning
I am suffering from sciatica and had tried other well=known brands of pain relieving gel, but I must have had a reaction with some of the ingredients because I came up in a rash and my skin became very sensitive where I had applied the gel.A couple of years ago a friend gave me some sample sachets of Polar Frost to try. I tried it and no rash, no sensitivity, and great pain relief for up to 12 hours. I bought some online, and gave one tube to my daughter. Then I ran out, so this is my second order.I cannot recommend Polar Frost enough. Its the only gel I use now.
