Great pliers for bass fishing
Since mostly all I use are needle nose pliers, it is important that they do all the tasks I need. These pliers are the best I have used in a long time. The cutters cut braid like butter. Now I just received them so we will see how they do in a year form now, but they way they handle it now, I don't see them having issues for a long time. And even if they do it looks like I can replace the blades with ease. The only issue is it didn't come with a lanyard, but I have an extra one so it isn't that big of a deal. Looking forward to many years of hassle free fishing with these pliers.

Sturdy and functional
I purchased another brand of cheap aluminum pliers and they bent my first time out. These pliers are sturdy and extremely functional. The point on the split ring tip is so much easier to use than others, and I love the tuning grooves for my spinner and buzz baits. I’ve purchased several off brands and none compare to these.

Sturdy and Well Constructed Fishing Pliers
I've so far only used these pliers to setup my Texas Rigs with split shot weights ill typically use for Central Texas bank or kayak bass fishing, However the length, weight and ease for pinching weights & cutting line (along with several other multi-functional features) has already impressed me.We'll see how they do in the field, but their length and sturdiness are going to make them my EDC pliers on all fishing outings should they continue to perform as expected.Extra tip - the Gary Yamamoto Kreatures pictured, along with a bullet weight on top & split shot on bottom, have been clutch for getting action I've discovered during my increased fishing trips during COVID.just buy the pliers if you're on the fence, they're good quality. I've pictured a writing pen next to the 9 inch pliers for perspective, since sometimes what 7 inches versus 9 inches looks like is hard for me to envision.

Great for hook removal but the other features aren't the best.
The hooked nose is great for pulling hooks out of the mouths of fish. That is the main reason I bought it but it does have other features. There are holes for holding hooks while you tie knots which is nice so you don't stab yourself but I don't use this feature too much. The line cutting feature is not that great. It cuts low test mono lines fine but it does not cut through any braid, even 10lb test braid. Did not seem worth it to me to pay much more for the upgraded version that cuts braid since I already have a cutter that can cut braid. If you don't use braided line then this will work fine for you. It's main feature of removing hooks is great but the other small features could be improved.

average pliers but useless cutter.
i ordered ht eD7, bent nose pliers.... as pliers for hook removal they are great. but the cutters were useless. when closed you can see a gap between the blades. if you squeeze real hard the gap closes up, but will not cut fishing line. i did an amazon exchange for a second set of pliers, and they were no better. see picture, i am squeezing it with moderate pressure and there's still light shining through the cutter section in the middle.

Good plier!!
Excellent!!This is no worry about rust.Grip design is completely fit my hands and no problem at wet situation. This item doesn’t have return spring. But there is no problem because the movement is so light.

smaller than average needle nose pliers
WRITTEN BY THE HUSBAND:these have all of the features i felt necessary for fishing; split ring opener, hook pull, and braid cutter. this one didn't come with a janky nylon sheath, and is definitely small enough to put into any pocket. big downside is that there isnt a lanyard/keeper hole, but i'll see how easily that can be remedied soon. these are a lil small and i have small hands, they may be awkward with gloves. will report back after some use.FIRST UPDATE: they very easily cut braid without any extra thought of finnicking.

NOT for Heavy Applications - Need to Return
These are Kastking's advertised most durable line of pliers. They are probably deserving of an overall 4-5 rating for light to medium applications but fall woefully short on heavier applications. I bought them mainly for the split ring and crimp features for assembling 130# leaders and which require 180#+ split rings and crimp sleeves. The split ring feature failed. I cannot open 200# rings wide enough for my hooks because the splitter tooth is too small. Same as crimping - they are built for smaller crimping applications and due to their short length, cannot get enough leverage to use the crimp feature properly. Unfortunately I must return.
