CAN THE SURVIVING AVENGERS CHANGE PAST EVENTS ?
The film smashing all box-office records in terms of income, Avatar slipping into second place, Titanic third.Would be interesting if a count of bums on seats when each of the films including The Sound Of Music was available for comparison....obviously blockbusters such as these including Endgame released at very different times. As I am no longer able to go to the cinema to watch the films as I once did, I have been looking forward to this one, especially after the brilliant Infinity Wars.In this, we see Iron Man(Robert Downey Jr)and Nebula (Karen Gillan) who have been stranded in deep space since the battle several days ago, saved by prospective Avengers new recruit Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)The surviving Avengers join forces with Captain Marvel to recover the stones from Thanos (Josh Brolin) who claims to have destroyed them.Five years pass, the remaining Avengers now a shadow of what they once were continue to mourn the loss of so many friends and fellow heroes. However, they reluctantly unite behind an idea that Scott Lang/Antman (Paul Rudd) who has escaped from the Quantum Realm proposes - what if they could go back in time? could they change the course of events and bring those lost back?Technology that doesn't really exist, however putting their minds to it a machine is assembled to do just that. Now with a very out of condition Thor (Chris Hemsworth) along with a very different Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) Captain America (Chris Evans) Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) War Machine (Don Cheadle) Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) join Iron Man and Antman in a mission to find the Infinity Stones keeping them out of the clutches of Thanos, preventing the loss of so many and the destruction of the infrastructure of much of the Universe. To do so, many dangers will have to be faced including another head-on-clash with Thanos and the forces at his beckon-call.Will the past be restored? Will all of those on the quest survive?A superb follow-up to Infinity War, maybe not what I anticipated having avoided being told of events, but, exciting stuff indeed, action-packed coupled with the usual array of dazzling CGI.With its star-studded cast-list, certainly a must for Marvel/Super-Hero fans.Footnote - I hope the Disney/Sony dispute regarding Spiderman (Tom Holland) can be resolved...surely a must?

It's all been leading to this moment ...
I waited a whole year to watch this film, I didn't see Infinity Wars because I know the wait would kill me. So I waited and now I have watched both films back to back.I'm so glad I waited. This is the work of ten years and as it stand right now, they almost got it right. There was allot in this film and so much more they missed out. This is Infinity Wars stripped down to the bare bones and they make a decent job of it. There's some stuff in it that I didn't see coming but allot I did. There's some nice plot hole's filled and a few cop out's along the way.The film IS good and as a closing chapter to phase one in the marvel MCU it does a decent job of tying things up for allot of the charter's while leaving the door open for other's.This is Downey Juniors swan song and a fitting good-bye to his charter that will be so sorely missed in the MCU, Tony is our guiding light, we may not have alway agreed with him or liked him but he was the star we stirred towards always. It was all about this moment for him and as endings go, it was a good one.Having said that I think it is Thor, out of all the charter's in the MCU films which has grown the most. Surprising you may say but going back to watching him from the start, he is the one most changed out of everyone and is still changing. I hope we get to see more of him in the second phase of the MCU because I'd love to find out where he goes from here.Overall I was 90% happy with EndGame, it was never going to be perfect and to expect it to be is a mistake. I think they hit most of the nail's on the head.I'm really going to miss allot of the charters but Tony Stark will always be that little be extra to me. I was a comic fan before the MCU, I grew up with these charters as a child/teenager and it's been a privilege to see them bout to the big screen in full. Now, New Avengers, its time to Assemble.Bring on the second phase.
