Worked once. Broke. Company not responsive.
It sounds like I had the same problem as Shannon from Austalia. I bought this so I could make several days' worth of nitro cold brew at a time instead of one day's worth in a whipped cream dispenser. The first batch turned out great! I was able to fill my travel mug 3 times. The second batch I made, the little black silicone flap blew out. This device is designed to let the N2 into the carafe and not let it come back out again, but once it blows out, there is nothing to keep the pressure in the carafe. As a result, the pressure (and some coffee) leaks back out around the edges of the N2 cartridge and sprays everywhere and makes a mess. I have tried twice to reach out to the company to ask how to fix this or ask for a replacement cap, but they have not responded. I think the silicone gasket/flap design for keeping the pressure in the carafe is a poor design and an invitation to material failure. I would not buy this again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Great Coffee, Had it for over a year and still works great
I love this product. I have made over 50 batches with it and it works great.I do admit that the last portion to pour is not as frothy, but that is as expected. Just like a whip cream bottle, the last part has no gas to whip with.I would recommend this product.

Passion for coffee needed
I like it I really do, but the little rubber piece that seals the charger from the bottle is so tricky to not launch off and get pressure up into the charger space. I think it needs to have a more secure design but that would make the already tedious cleaning so much worse. It’s good they supply extra rings to because the large one ripped after two uses. Maybe I’m too rough with it. I just think it takes a little extra attention than I care to give but if you love love coffee it’s worth it.

Lid leaks and the company is terrible
I bought this for my fiance's birthday and we loved it for the few weeks that it worked. After a few weeks the lid seal starts leaking the nitrogen gas when you put it in and there's nothing you can do about it. This seems to be a common error because I've seen it on other reviews online after looking it up. I've tried reaching out to the company by using their two different customer service emails and along with their website, and no one has gotten back to us at all about it. It's very frustrating, what a waste of money. All we are asking is for them to send us a new lid or tell us how to fix it, since we are within warranty. Also when we purchased it it came with a card with customer service information on it along with a way to activate your warranty and neither one of them were valid (the email they provided no one has responded from yet and the link to activate the warranty did not provide any warranty information with it) which is not shocking at this point.I would definitely recommend buying either a different model or from a different company!Another big issue with this model specifically is that it's newer and there is zero information online on how to clean this particular model. It has a different straw and faucet setup and we cannot figure out how to get the metal straw out to clean it or check for clogs. The instructions it came with literally just said take out the straw to clean it, but unfortunately the straw is like glued in to the growler.Regarding taste of product, the growler does not change the actual taste of whatever coffee you make, it just adds foam to the top. We tried using nitrogen and nitrous oxide in both just add a type of foam on it which makes it nice and creamy, but the taste is not affected.

Never produced good results
If you’re looking to pull a class of nitro cold brew like the one you can get at a coffee shop, I was never able to reproduce those results. I’m not sure if that was user error or simply the capabilities of this growler, but after a handful of attempts, the plastic part that holds the nitrogen cartridges cracked, rendering it completely useless. The entire setup wouldn’t hold pressure after that. So if you want a ready-to-use system, I would suggest you keep looking until you find one that is entirely stainless steel and thus can’t crack like the plastic. As for me? I’m building my next one from scratch. Having a pressure gauge seems to be really important since nitro cold brew is supposed to be between 30-40 psi. And this growler doesn’t have any kind of gauge.

Leaks ("tap" not withstanding) and often doesn't dispense
When it worked, it worked great but that was about 1/4 of the time. The remaining 3/4 it would either leak out in my refrigerator or fail to dispense coffee forcing me to release the nitrogen to open it. In theory, it's a great product but in application, it needs to be redesigned. The dripping was a constant...about the only thing I can guarantee it did 100% of the time. Tapping the handle, trying to adjust it, removing and reinstalling the spring inside does not stop the perpetual drip. This could be free and I'd give it away, it only wasted my Illy coffee.

Good Product and Customer Service.
The product is great and easy to use. Creates amazing nitro cold brew, something I've been wanting to be able to make since I got into coffee as a hobby. When I first ordered my growler, I was sent the wrong item, that being jut a nozzle and for the keg model no less, but Royal Brew was quick to rectify this. Overall I am beyond happy and everyone I make coffee for loves the results.
