Great and simple to mold
Great product for protecting yourself from grinding and clenching! I also have TMJ, and this has also benefited me.It was pretty straight forward, it comes with a small and a large mouth tray and it comes with two heavy duty moldable mouth guards. What I did was use my electric kettle to boil the water and dumped that into a pan, I threw in one of them and let it stay there for about 20 seconds, after I take it out and let it set for about 2-3 seconds and put it on the teeth you’d like to mold, I did my top teeth. Be kinda careful, if you have sensitive teeth it may be a little uncomfortable for a bit! After, the guard was in my mouth, I pushed upward with my thumbs and closed my mouth and let it sit there for about 3 minutes before I took the guard out.If you have any issues the first time, you can always just throw them back into the water and try to remold again. Overall, great and very durable. It depends on how much you grind, the more you do... these will obviously wear out faster, but for the price; you can’t beat it. I highly recommend this product!

Instructions need work
I'm usually pretty good at reading directions, but these are challenging. There are 2 sets of instructions printed on outside of the box (as another reviewer mentioned, it's a very nice box), and they are similar, but different, which has probably led some people to a melted mess and tossing the whole thing out.It seems there have been different versions of the product. Here's what came in my box, (as printed on the box)1 - Large Mouth Tray (this one is clear)1 - Small Mount Tray (this one is clear)2 - Heavy Duty Mouth Guards (these are cloudy white)1 - Storage Case (blue)One side of box says to immerse the mouth guard (size of your choice) in water and leave for 18 seconds, no longer than 20 secondsThe other side of the box says immerse the heavy duty mouth guard and leave for 20 seconds, no longer than 25 seconds.Neither side says anything about mouth trays.I spent some time trying to figure out which was what, and what was supposed to be immersed in water and for how long, since nothing is labeled inside the box. I started with what I assumed to be the heavy duty mouth guard, and immersed it for 20 seconds, (it almost stuck to the side of the pan, which would have been the end of the guard) and fitted it gently, following the instructions, and it worked, but it was bulky and uncomfortable.Read every word on the box again, and then checked the company website, which is sorely lacking in information. Read the Amazon questions and reviews, lots more information, although not much of it helpful. Then armed with enough knowledge to be dangerous, started experimenting.I decided the "Mouth Tray" is actually the "mouth guard" mentioned on one side of the box. Tried immersing the large mouth tray for 18 seconds. That turned out to be a little long, 15 seconds probably would have been better. Popped it in my mouth and pressed gently, did the sucking thing they recommend, which helps the silicone form to your teeth, waited a bit, and presto, I had a comfortable mouth guard that doesn't cause me to gag. Some pointers...• Start with the Mouth Tray or clear guard, and follow the 18 second instructions.• Really let the water cool down for a minute or so after removing from the heat• Watch the guard as it soaks, if you see the edges start to bend, take it out of the water• Use a plastic spoon, and keep the guard from touching the sides or bottom of the pan,• Keep your plastic spoon under the guard the whole time it's soaking (all 18 seconds)• Really do the "close your mouth and use a sucking sensation"• My guess is you only wear a top OR bottom guard, not both. Instructions say the "top row of teeth"This all needs to be done fairly quickly, because as the guard cools to mouth temperature, it hardens and that's the shape you get.Once you've tried the mouth tray, follow the instructions for the Heavy Duty Mouth Guard, (the only difference is how long they soak) and see which one feels better.Once the guard is fitted, you can trim off any silicone that is uncomfortable, but don't cut so much away you ruin the structure of the guard. All in all, this seems to be a great product, (so far, I haven't actually slept with it in my mouth yet) and for the price, if you mess one up, it's not a disaster. But the instructions really need to be rewritten, and tested by someone who has never seen the product before.I'm happy they're made in America, the box is very nice, but I can see how people could easily meltdown (both the product and their temper) with having to figure out how to use them because the directions are misleading and incomplete.Hope this helps someone from tossing the whole thing.

Great product
There’s a little bit of a learning curve when your first using it, but once you get the hang of it, it’s a great product

It's not that simple
Packaging is confusing. You don't get four guards. You get two mouth guards and two trays (one large and one small). I know this will sound ignorant, but I do not know the difference between the guard and the tray. I've never used a mouth guard or a mouth tray. There are no labels on the items in the box. OK so the instructions for forming the product to your teeth are pretty straightforward but not so effective. Once I figured out which was the tray and which the guard (after boiling the wrong thing) I boiled, fit, reboiled and refit the item until I got it semi comfortable. Then I took a scissors to it and started cutting to get it to fit better. It kind of seems to fit now. Even though it's indicated the things can be molded to top or bottom teeth, it doesn't work so well on the bottom teeth. Overall, it's not that bad. I mean it doesn't hurt. But maybe there's something better.

Very disappointed
I’ve used their other products and had great results, but these seem to be junk. I bought 2 boxes of them and they don’t hold up at all against my (extremely) aggressive grinding like others have. It only lasted 2 nights. Was really expecting more from this awesome company :(
