If you read this review it can probably save you tons of time. My mistake is your valuable lesson. I tried 2 other types of couplings. (See the picture)Leaked,leaked,leaked and end up angry. Then this one was so easy to put on , No leak and done. Don’t make my mistake. Spend a little more and sleep well.

I bought this with some others because I was dealing with some odd and minor differences in products with backyard watering. This was the only product that went in to the main lines with ease and then the blue screw down caps. These were quick and held water tight. Others were difficult or would not screw down well. Basically when I need a product like this, this is the one I will buy every time.

These coupler made it extremely easy to repair my poly sprinkler line when a large tent spike went through line. A normal coupler would not work since I had to cut out a 3-4 inch section that was damaged. In order to user traditional couplers I would have had to have two of them plus small extension piece of poly to bridge the wider gap.No need to heat gun, torch or lubricant to get this coupler on as you don't have to push it in as far as a normal coupler. The collars screw on the outside of the pipe and hold things very, very tight. No leakage at all. Does need to be a relatively straight line shot, curved sections would now work. Definitely a good option to have in the toolbox, and very inexpensive also.

I recently laid a pex type plastic 3/4” pipe to my shop and had to tie the plastic piping into pvc for my faucet and this was a life saver, the design makes this thing bulletproof as far as leaking I will most definitely be ordering more to keep on hand. A lot cheaper than pex fittings and just as reliable if not more.

Much to my amazement this actually worked! Takes some strength plus a wrench to tighten but it didn't leak.

I used it on a commercial 3/4 hose from home depot. When you tighten it down it tends to push the hose off instead of riding up and over it. So it only catches on the end of the hose. Can not trust leaving the water turned on.. I would think that on a thicker hose it would not work at all. If it can only be used on a cheap thin hose then why bother repairing it just buy a new hose.
