Broke within 6 weeks
Save yourself the time. Thai bulb broke within 6 weeks of installation. I took great care to not touch the bulb during installation. DO NOT RECOMMEND

OK, My GE fridge originally had a single element defrost. This part's listing says it's a direct replacement. It does mount properly, but then my back panel does not seat properly, the part causes a bulge and then the screws won't seat except for warping the panel. Seems to me, it could fit better.

works well but they don't last much
I bought this replacement in november 2019, it worked well until now, about a week ago, the freezer evaporator started to build up ice again, i checked and the resistor element in the heater is broken, this replacement is cheap, but the next time i would rather spend a few more dollars in a good quality replacement than be forced to disassemble the fridge every 6 months to change the same single piece.
