Lansky

I use the eraser to clean my Lansky ceramic rods. It works really well and leaves no residue behind, unlike the pencil eraser that I did use, which worked, but left bits of itself clinging to the rods. It's nice to have a product that is designed for the use I need, and which does the job exactly as it should.

As the heading says, they do what they say, they clean crock sticks. With a fairly dirty stick it takes a lot of rubbing to remove most of the metal stains. You won't get them all off but most will be removed and the sticks will work as good as new. The eraser is just that, an eraser. It will leave rubber and abrasive residue in your work area.EraserblockThat said, I've used crock sticks for knife sharpening for over 25 years, and can say that a cleanser such as Comet or Bon Ami will do just as good a job if you don't let your sticks get too dirty.

Works very well on my ceramic sharpening rods and ceramic honing rod

These little eraser blocks remove all traces of metal residue from my Spyderco ceramic rods. No more running to the sink for cleaning. Handy little addition to my sharpening tool kit. If you have ceramic rods in your kit, you know how quickly they become saturated with metal clogging up the pours and making it useless. This cleans it right up. Works on my ceramic rods and Arkansas stones and any other sharpening tool that doesn't use honing oil. It also will take surface rust off of knives and tools which is a nice bonus, however the eraser has a mild abrasive in it so if oyu are concerned about hurting the finish on your knives and tools, do not rub them directly on your knives and tools.

If you have previously acquired a Lansky sharpener, you are probably experiencing some steel residual lines in your sharpening rods. This is the perfect solution for that. You simply erase the lines and keep your rods clean and ready to go. Totally recommended.
