Lisle38350 Exhaust Hanger Removal Pliers

Just a home mechanic. I struggled with these exhaust hangers for years and finally decided buy the proper tool. Works really well. Give it a shot of soapy water and the tool just popped them right through. Used for eight hangers on one project and it was worth the money just for this one

Simply line up the forked end to the hanger rail, the rounded flat end to the other and press down all the way and the hanger comes right off.5/5, super easy to use and if you do lots of exhaust work under the car, you definitely need one of these.

Excellent tool for rubber exhaust hangers. Seriously. I can't believe I've gone 20 years of working on cars without one. Don't even think about it, buy this one. Made in USA by Lisle. Great tool, great company.

writing this review from the computer so unfortunately no photos but fairly simple as it's just a tool to removal exhaust hangers fairly simple helps make the removal process way easier, wish i had it the first time but now i do, basically just transfer the rubber hangers onto the tool which then you'd have to remove it from the tool but shouldn't be an issue if there was wd-40 involved, would definitely keep this tool around.

be careful if you are using poly hangers, those suckers are hard to come out! Rubber would be so much easier. I actually snapped this plier mid removal and horror followed. User error as I was using a cheater bar. Poly hanger users, please use channel lock or C clamp to push the head of the hanger in and then use this tool to complete the removal.

Taking off rubber exhaust supports. This is the tool you need. Bit of Silicon on the support and off it comes.Saves damaging hands and trying to get screw drivers into small space. Wouldn't be without it. Would buy again.

If you ever try to change any exhaust components then you'll immediately know how the struggle it is to remove the rubber hangers. After many hours struggling with a pry bar, busting your knuckles prying on it, and using lots of penetrating fluid it makes you no want to do it again. On some vehicles these rubber bushing really become stuck on the hanger and almost seize right to the metal hanger so having a tool is really a smart investment. If you change many exhaust components then this is the right tool you need but if you are only changing one or two then i really wouldn't spend the money on purchasing something like this. I bought this for professional use but it is truly remarkable of how the correct tool could go a long way. I work flat rate so personally time IS money so saving the time makes me spend more money on the correct tool which pays for itself.Like another reviewer said, it takes more time to install the new one than to remove the old one. One tip is add some penetrating fluid before removing just to make it a little easier. The tool itself seems decently constructed and doesn't flex while using it. The end (point) is bowl shaped so it gives leverage to push against. The only downsides i have is that the tool is large and takes additional room and some vehicles do not have that room so it takes some maneuvering around it make it work. Also wish the handle grips were it a little more comfortable but otherwise it's a fantastic tool and more certainly helpful in doing the job and would totally recommend.

Excelente para quitar soportes de escape en segundos. Evita maltratarlos con un desarmador y adquiere la herramienta adecuada para el trabajo. La construcción de las pinzas se siente de calidad y de uso rudo. La recomiendo.
