Best way to experience light therapy for SADS
I’ve tried various SADS light therapy and whilst they can be effective I’ve found positioning the light annoying and so often I haven’t been consistent in use. Luminette glasses are so easy to use and they are uber convenient so I use them everyday. They are comfy to wear and the light on its highest setting isn’t too much for me. As they can be worn there’s no sitting still with an awkward glare from your old light. I get up, pop them on and get the kettle going. They work so well giving me freedom to do my morning routine as normal, no time lost. I do feel a little extra energy and I feel more positive. Its helped my SADS for sure. Surprised I’m getting off to sleep easier as well, it’s a treat! Seem’s like a lot money but it’s really not for what you get from it. Can’t put a price on that! Well worth the investment in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Watch this Space
It’s hard to be objective about the efficacy of this piece of tech. It’s well made, it comes with a handy carry case and is very easy to use, the auto turn off timer in particular, being very useful. It is far easier and more practical than sitting 20 cm away from a light box for 30 minutes every morning! I don’t have the means to measure of it’s luminescence but it is bright and very white. I’m not really sure what the ‘hologram’ really does other than produce a prismatic fan of light of various colours that scatter across one’s eyes. You cannot necessarily position a blue band of light across your eyes if indeed, that is more efficient. I think they’re having a positive effect (using them for the maximum luminescence level at the automatic set time of 20 minute upon waking and again at at around midday), but it’s hard to be objective and I’m very aware of user expectations obscuring ‘true effects’ with health-related technology.

Comfortable, Easy to use, Quality
I got the Luminette to help shift my sleep schedule earlier and reduce the difficulties I have waking up. I had previously tried light therapy lamps, but I found them impractical and ineffective. (It's nearly impossible to get the lamps close enough to your face for a long enough amount of time, especially while doing anything else.) The Luminette glasses are a vast improvement. I can wear them while getting ready and doing work in the morning. They fit comfortably -- and over glasses if you wear them. The rubber arms and nosepiece help them stay in place. The light is directed from above your eyes, so the light and glasses don't interfere with your vision (unlike with some other brands of light therapy glasses). The button to change the light intensity and turn them on/off is easy to use. The pieces feel sturdy. I charge them once every several days.As for their effectiveness, anecdotally it seems they've helped with my particular sleep issues. Or at least, since I started using them each morning several months ago, my sleep schedule has shifted back 1+ hour, and it now takes me 1-2 hours to get up in the morning instead of 2-4. The effects took time and weren't always evident, but the trend seems like it's going in the right direction.Overall, I'd recommend trying them if you're looking for a more convenient and effective alternative to other sources of light therapy.

Superb for SAD when all else failed
I’ve owned and used a Lumie Vitamin L lamp for quite a few years and I’ve found that it hasn’t ever really helped with my SAD. I put this down to light therapy in general not being beneficial for me. This year I struggled quite bad and revisited the solutions available. I came across the Luminette and thought they were definitely worth a shot. I’ve heard people mention they are pricey, however, in the grand scheme of innovative heath technology and the benefits these could offer, I think they are very reasonably priced tbh. They come well packaged with an accompanying carry case and appear to be good quality. Yes they are plastic, but they don’t feel or look cheap in my opinion. A full charge takes around two hours and lasts quite a few days depending on use. There are 3 intensity settings each with corresponding session durations. I currently do two sessions each morning, the first at the highest setting upon wakening and then a second mid morning on the middle setting. Incredibly I have felt full benefit and remission after only 4 days of use, so this is a game changer to me! This is probably down to a few reasons; practicality, consistency and efficacy. The hologram design splits the light and if positioned correctly the blue light will hit the bottom of the eyes whilst bathing the rest in broad spectrum light. The targeted light, intensity and duration together with consistency of use are all key factors I believe. Others have complained of headaches whilst using but I haven’t experienced that, even at the highest setting or after concurrent sessions which is good, or lucky I suppose. Nevertheless I would always want to persevere and hope that any side effects might be transient and resolve on their own. The light can be quite dazzling at first but usually only when first used in dark/dim settings and passes quickly, especially with brighter ambient light around. Anyway, I hope this review helps and hope that these help you as they have me as SAD can be pretty miserable!
