STILL GOOD IN 2025
Have had this monitor for 4 years and it still holds up with no issues, and has very competitive specs still in the monitor market of 2025. Great value for the price I got it at and I still use it to this day. I played Valorant at a collegiate level and it's the reason why I can say this monitor will keep you on an even playing field at the competitive level.

ASUS VG259QM: A Gamer’s Dream with a Few Trade-Offs
The Asus VG259QM is a fantastic pick if you’re serious about gaming and want something that can pull double duty for other tasks. The 280Hz refresh rate and IPS combo are hard to beat, and it’s built like it’ll stick around for a while. Sure, the price stings a little, and the backlight bleed can be a nitpick, but for me, the pros outweigh the cons. I’ve loved every minute of gaming on it—and honestly, even binge-watching shows looks better than I expected. If you’re ready to tweak it to perfection, this monitor’s a solid upgrade.Pros:280Hz refresh rate: Makes games feel incredibly smooth, especially fast-paced ones like shooters or racing games.IPS panel: Colors look vibrant, and the screen stays clear even if you’re not sitting dead center.Gaming performance: Handles everything with minimal motion blur—perfect for competitive gaming.Versatility: Not just for gaming; it’s solid for casual photo editing or movie watching too.Cons:Backlight bleed: There’s some in the corners, especially noticeable in dark scenes or loading screens.HDR performance: It’s there, but not amazing—you’ll probably need to tweak the settings to make it look decent.

Great value and great visuals
Only been 2 days and i gotta say its a great monitor for sure. I have it hooked up to my asus rog strix scar 15 (g533zw-as94 model) and the refresh rate seems identical to my built in display. Very crisp 1920x1080, amazing hdr and works so good with the nvidia g-sync for my rtx 3070 ti. Playing poe2 on max graphics with hdr on feels great on this monitor.

Nice monitor - excellent quality for the price
ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM 24.5” MonitorI like this monitor a lot. I'm replacing an 8 year-old Dell U2415 (which still functions perfectly) because I wanted something better for gaming. This is easy to setup, looks great, and has a terrific display. The ability to rotate and move up/down is very nice considering a lot of gaming monitors do not do this. The built-in speaker are only fair - since I mainly use headphones, I only need them for basic sound when not gaming - beeps and such from the OS.My only complaint is that the first one shipped to me had a bad panel - terrible shadowing/dark glow around anything white. I replaced it immediately and the new one is great.

Prefect monitor for the price. Better than most monitors out there for the prices and specs it has.

The Best and fastest monitor created
The monitor I picked is the "ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM 27” HDR Monitor, 1080P Full HD (1920 x 1080), Fast IPS, 280Hz, G-SYNC Compatible, Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB SYNC), 1ms, DisplayHDR 400"I only had one problem with this monitor and that was the data cable that comes with the monitor (you get 1 HDMI and 1 Data Cable in box plus power cord). I had to purchase a "Infinnet DisplayPort 1.4 Cable 8K 60Hz, 4K 144Hz, 4K 120Hz, 2K 280Hz 240Hz, 1080p 360Hz DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable DP 1.4 HBR3 Cord, HDR, VESA Certified, 3 Meters (9.84 ft) Black" (that is on Amazon for $30) and this cable is so much better than the one that comes in the box (because its gold tipped and not silver like the one you get with monitor) and it actualy fits into my graphics card. Plus it makes the images and text crystal clear and not fuzzy than the original cable. It was so nice of Amazon to help pay for the costs for that new cable. Thanks Amazon!! Now to get Gsync ability you must use the data cable, not the HDMI cable. Some people complain that the resolution isn't good enough, then buy the cable I mentioned. Ever hear of downsampling? Look it up, you can simulate 4k resolution on this monitor (so you get the best of both worlds, better visual and fast hz) and will not hurt it one bit, even though they recommend not doing so, so use at your own discretion but I think its because they want you to purchase the more expensive monitor. Unless you got 32 GB of memory in your rig like I do, then you can do supersampling to boost the visuals and images. I also recommend using at least a MSI Geforce GTX 1080 graphic card for best performance. Now while most software cant go beyond 240 hz yet while this monitor can perform at 280 hz, lets hope the programmers out there can kick it up a notch. Make sure to turn on HD mode in windows when using this monitor even though it will turn off Game Visual in the monitors menu option when you do. Shadow Boost will also be disabled in menu options, not sure why but it doesn't matter, the monitor is bright enough even at HDR 400. The ability to swivel, tilt, height adjustment on this monitor is amazing, you can even view content with your monitor sidways if you wish. There was no bleeding, dead pixels or damages on the monitor and it was very secure in the box when shipped. I recommend getting Prime when purchasing and you can get it monthly instead of yearly. I received it in just 2 days after purchase. The BEST and FASTEST monitor created!

good for the (competitive edge.)
first of all its a 10 out of 10... the performance is A1 the quality is good for 1080p the size is perfect its the 27in and the 280hz kind... the brightness is bright enough for the eyes to handle as default. it took approx 10 to 15 min to set it up. the connectivity only caps the hz to 270hz but i assume with a better dp it will oc to 280hz but hey not complaining!
