LIGHTWEIGHT TANK: Amazing, tough, robust, but super light!!
First, this is a crazy thin and lightweight tank. The Tri-ad lock is a beast, but easy to disengage. The g-10 is mid-low traction, not super aggressive. The clip is cold steel sturdy. This handle is thin. No liners. It’ll get lost and forgotten in a pocket!! Great EDC blade where legal to carry it. Since it’s very thin, bigger hands might not work as well with this blade. Handle is thin. Overall, this isn’t a big folder. It’s very pocket-able.The awesomeness of this knife is the super thick, robust blade that came with a fabulously sharp factory edge, the fact that despite the beefiness of the blade it’s crazy lightweight and hair popping sharp, and the solid, durable, bulletproof Tri-ad lock!! Plus g-10!! Lots of value here!!Aus-10a (10a) is a good steel. I hear all kinds of comparisons from 440B, 440C to VG-10 and N690. I’m no expert, but just watch a few YouTube videos of folks beating these knives up! Cold Steel does a great heat treat CLEARLY!! These are pretty bombproof knives all around. I have beaten up a Cold Steel Tuff Lite in the lower end Aus-8a (8a) they use and that thing impressed me!!!! Wow!! If Aus-10a is anything like that little Tuff Lite then it’s good stuff. Tough steel. Stays sharp. Takes a punch. This is a lightweight TANK!!!! I bought one for myself and one for my sister, I might buy another just because it’s a knockout blade!!My only minor gripes are: the clip is silver, wish it was black. It isn’t deep carry, but it isn’t obnoxiously high carry either. This knife is worth it!!!!! Lots of value!! It’ll be a super EDC blade or a wonderful hiking or back-up camping knife. I can see military or LEO’s carrying it if they need a really light folder that packs a punch and takes a beating.Buy it, very impressive!! Decent price!! Lots of value!! High-quality!!

Really nice especially for the price point
The build quality is good, it feels incredibly solid and somewhat overbuilt while still maintaining a slim figure. It’s very sharp and the edge has been precisely and evenly ground. I’m a perfectionist, and I love this knife, having zero complaints. I wanted a folding knife I could mildly abuse without risking injury due to the lock or pivot failing. The lock is as solid as they come!

The Biggest Light Weight Knife
This knife appears to weigh a lot more than it actually does. Once it's in your hand, the knife is hardly noticed.Slender, yet tough, combined with the Tri-Ad lock. That is what makes this knife an excellent work knife. I can't say that I will recommend it as an EDC. The only reason being is that I pulled it out of my pocket and flipped it open using the thumb stud. It has a remarkably sharp sound when it opens, so it draws attention. Combine that with the visual of the tanto blade, and it can startle some folks. Kind of cleared the area is what happened.Got to love that Cold Steel first impression.

Love Cold Steel knives. Not fond of the thumb opening.
Awesome steel. Very nice blade shape and edge contour. Effective handle material. Great grip provided. Very thin and light. EDC, that won't sag the pocket.Drawback that cost it the fifth star: I do not like the position of the thumb opening stud. A index finger nub on the back, is far easier to operate. I have several, of other Brands.I was only able to find one Cold Steel and I bought it too.

I wanted to hate this knife…
I purchased this knife as a beater that I could throw away without regrets if I ever needed to. Unfortunately I REALLY like it! I have disdain for Chinese knives, this one is Taiwan so I don’t feel like I’m giving money to the PRC while getting a low quality piece of garbage. This knife is strong, solid, tight and very, very sharp. Great job Cold Steel.

Super light weight, the quality is Cold Steel so it is amazing.
This is a super light weight knife. If it were any lighter it might be weird. I purchased this tanto knife because I am a landscaper and I need a good lightweight knife I can use to stab and slice trees out of large plastic pots, slice weed fabric, cut ram board, cut rope, slice roots etc etc. This feels amazing in a large hand. This is a very handsome knife. It is very sturdy. There is no wiggle at all. Nicely balanced. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about.I will update when I use it in the field!**8/17/242 years later and thing knife is still awesome!

Nothing is better for the price.
A couple of the exterior edges were a little sharp but extremely easy to fix with a little 1000 grit sandpaper. Other than that this is the finest blade I own. The steel is extremely sharp and holds an edge even after cutting heavy cardboard. The handle is very thin and the blade is the standard Cold Steel thickness, the texture of the G10 makes for an aggressive but not abrasive grip. The Air Lite is so thin and light it's easy to forget it's there. Definitely my new favorite everyday knife.
