cold steel air lite
great mid sized pocket knife. nice and slim, it does not poke into your hip even when laying on the side it is carried on. perfect for an EDC knife. light weight, fast opening, razor sharp blade. the size is very useable for daily tasks, without being too large and intimidating to people around you. my only complaint is the pocket clip is a little too big.

This is a WINNER!
Everything you want all in one great package!I have been looking for that perfect EDC knife for a while. I’m not new to owning/ collecting all types of different knives. This is the one!! All around ergos are great, I do not see any flaws, ppl talk about sharp edges etc.. I don’t feel any. That’s just straight up nit picking. The blade shape is that perfect all around utilitarian shape, very versatile. Again perfect for EDC! G10 handles are flawless with the perfect balance of grip and weight. Action is great.. may take a few flicks to get down to where your comfortable with it. But once you get it down , it’s great! No lose screws, no blade play no hot spots.Listen this folder is MORE than enough for EDC. VERY STRONG! That tri ad lock is amazing, and how they got all this strength and size into this weight category is beyond me. Perfect for EDC , and weight is LIte! (As the name suggests)I could go on and on..So if your like me .. and looking for that perfect EDC where you can cut cardboard or take out to the woods for harder use , but don’t need a machete in your pocket … this is the the knife for you!Trust me!!

Great EDC knife with one flaw
All in all this is I think one of the better EDC knives out there. It’s got a good blade with good steel, extremely light white, and that super durable cold steel triad lock. The only flaw with it is the pocket clip is not removable. It is reversible, but it is not removable. The handle design requires screws on the clip side and the non-clip side to hold the handle together. And the clip side screws are just a little bit too long, if you remove the clip. an extra set of screws would’ve made this in my opinion one of the perfect EDC Knives.

Perfect
The media could not be loaded. Out the box, I can wrist flick it open, as well as close it with one hand (keep your index finger choked up though so the blade won't nick you). If you roll it open with your thumb, then be wary of pinching yourself when the blade locks into place; it's possible, but hasn't yet happened to me.For size reference, I wear a large Mechanix glove and can get all four fingers on the handle with wiggle room for my pinky. It's comfortable in various grips and the G-10 feels nice. It's a solid EDC, especially for the price.

A sturdy work or backpacking knife, with good rust resistance
I’ve had this knife for over a year, and carry it most days. My other knives are Spyderco and Benchmade, but I find myself carrying this much more often, because I don’t have to worry about it breaking or if it gets lost- it’s a $55 knife, not a $150 Benchmade Osborne (love it) or $100 Spyderco. The Aus10 steel is very good and quite rust resistant- because it is so light, I’ve twice forgotten to take it out of my pocket before washing my pants. I line-dry my pants and only discovered it the next day when looking for my favorite work knife, and there was no sign of rust, although it probably takes longer than a day or two. I also don’t do more than a quick pants leg wipe-off of the blade, so there is always something lightly smeared on it.I am a handyman, and do drywall, carpentry and other light chores. I use this knife all the time when my pry bar isn’t handy. Yes, I know I’m not supposed to, but it’s a $50 knife and the lock and blade are so strong! I also take it camping and use it to split firewood occasionally. The 3.5” length of the blade means I can get to the bottom of the peanut butter jar, and it’s really light so I don’t mind hiking with it. If I still backpacked, this would be my knife and I’d leave the fixed blade home.Downsides? The knife handle is thin, to keep weight down. As a result, if you’re applying hard pressure (without a leather glove) that thin handle will cut into your hand more than a thicker knife would. The triad lock gives it quite a lot of resistance of flicking open so it will take more force both to open and close. I’ve had mine a year so it’s broken in and I still mostly roll it open with my thumb; I don’t flick it, although men with stronger thumbs seem to do it with ease. I usually close it with two hands, although you can close it with one hand. The blade is sharp and if I don’t catch it right with my index finger I’ll get a nick. If you want a sturdy work knife around the same price that has a wider, more hard-work comfortable knife, check out the Ontario Rat 1 in D2 steel (see photos; mine is Aus8 steel, also decent). It’s quite a bit heavier though, and it you already carry a lot of stuff in your pockets it might be too heavy.

I love this knife. I love small knives but wanted a large, affordable, and lightweight knife. Cold Steel makes awesome blades. This one has a heavy duty, strong back lock. Has an awesome THWACK when opening. Single hand opening and mostly a two hand close. I’m sure a smoother washer and loosening screws would change that but it’s not a big deal. Super lightweight handle. AUS10 Steel. Yay for cold steel knives!
