Herb's Pickled Pigs Feet 16 oz quart size container

Jar arrived leaking fluid. There were a total of three pigs feet inside. (Actually, it was three "half" pigs feet.) That's about $5.00 per half foot. When you consider the actual consumable materials, thats more expensive than the finest steak. I've eaten these for years from other suppliers. I threw this one out. Total waste.

I never leave reviews, but I feel like I should for the heath and safety of other people . This product appears to be in a glass jar, but comes in a plastic jar with a plastic lid. The jar had leaked in the package, as others indicated. Not sure what possessed me to try this unsafe product after that, but I did. It was horrible tasting and left a burning sensation in our throats for hours... we had a hard time getting rid of it. Praying we don't get botulism. Tried for a return/refund but it said it was not eligible. Amazon chat was, however, able to process a refund.

I received the one with the plastic lid, which is fine. The metal lids tend to rust. It was wrapped in shrink wrap and then in bubble wrap. A good attempt at packaging, but there was still a little of the juice on the outside of the jar.I saw where someone said there was no meat. People don’t buy pig feet for the meat. That’s what ribs are for. It’s a small jar, so you don’t get that many. They put what will fit, which is about 3 half feet. Enough to get a sample or to have as a special treat. They are very tender and taste very good. I noticed that they cut their feet different from the others, which could by why even the tendons were tender.I’ve had Big John, Matt & Dana, Hannah, and now Herb. I grew up on Big John. They are not tender like they used to be. Matt & Dana was pretty good in the smaller jar, but they were tough in the half gallon jar. Hannah was pretty good as well, a close second. But I think Herbs was the best of the four.

item was not properly sealed and had leaked in package. Lid was loose and and not safe to eat. Beware this item is not returnable or refunded, so if you order and get one like mine you are out if luck for getting a refund.

This product came without a seal on the lid. I wasn't sure if I could eat it because I didn't know if it had been opened prior to me receiving it as it wasn't factory sealed. That's all we have
