Ingenious design, well-made, beautiful, and functional
This is an ingenious design, perfectly executed, to make a a slender, elegant, and highly functional pocket knife.A ridged protrusion on the back of the blade projects slightly out the non-opening side of the hinge; slight pressure causes the blade to pop out and lock for one-handed use. It was designed by Ken Onion to be a one-handed fast-opening knife that is not a “switchblade” within the meaning of California Penal Code §17325. With its 3" blade, it is legal to carry in many counties and municipalities in California that have local ordinances prohibiting folding pocket knives over 3". IANAL. YMMV.The blade is a high-quality Sandvik razor steel, slightly customized for Kershaw and Ken Onion. I've been very happy with this for over 9 months: it functions as designed, takes and keeps an edge, and shows no sign of corrosion.Although tapped screw-holes are provided on both ends on one side of the knife, so the pocket-clip can be reversed, there are no holes at all on the front, probably for aesthetic reasons. As a left-hander, this is my only niggle: it is neither 100% ambidextrous nor available in a left-handed version.Overall, an excellent knife and outstanding value for money. I would recommend it unreservedly and immediately buy another if anything happened to mine.

Thin, light, razor sharp. An awesome little knife
The best pocket knife I've ever owned. Comes razor sharp and I keep it that way with a few strokes on a SharpNEasy 336C, which is cool because the course side is ceramic rods not carbon blades, which I find destroy a cutting edge rather than sharpen it. The clip on the Kershaw is tight and holds the knife securely in place. I have no fear that it will accidentally fall off. The opening mechanism is phenomenal, like a switch blade. And the liner lock is easy to manipulate one handed. The only "rub" I have is that the knife comes with the clip attached at the blade end rather than the butt end, which is counter-intuitive. When you withdraw the knife from your pocket by the butt your fingers are automatically in the correct position to open the blade and use it, when it's attached to the blade end you have to turn the knife around before you can open it. It doesn't make any sense, and with the tiny star drive screws they use I had to stop by my local garage the day I got the knife and ask the mechanic if he had the right size bit. I have a LOT of tools, but I don't have that. Yet. I plan on buying more of these little beauties as Christmas gifts and I'm gonna turn the clip around before I wrap them!

Exceptional
This is the second Leek I've owned. This one I bought for its unique color and its overall value (less than half what I paid for my first one). These are excellent knives. Some are unhappy with the thinness of the blade. I actually feel it is an asset, particularly when slicing apples and other fruits. The blade just slips right through without creating too much mess. The design exudes quality. Fit and finish are excellent and the knife feels solid and capable in your hand. The SpeedSafe blade deployment is very slick, and combined with the liner lock allows for complete one-hand operation - from opening to closing. The little locking mechanism preventing inadvertent deployment is nice, but superfluous. Blade closure is resolute, there is no play, no sense of looseness. The burnt orange coating on the aluminum scales produces a matte texture. I feel this an improvement over my original Leek, which without the coating has more of a slippery feel to it. The Leek's design offers a very slim profile, and as others have mentioned, cuts a low profile clipped in your pocket.I'm an urban guy, and don't foresee ever field-dressing a deer, resorting to harsh survival tactics (please, how many stars is that hotel?), or participating in any combat maneuvers. The Leek, therefore, does everything I need it to do. If those other things are part of your daily life, then you'd probably need something a bit more substantial than the Leek.

Favorite EDC Knife
This is one of the best knives for the money I've ever had. I carry it every day and barely notice it because it's so thin and lightweight. Only complaint is the clip screws back out over time, so I've put a touch of thread lock on them, problem solved.

MADE IN THE USA!
This orange Kershaw Leek is just the latest in my growing collection of Leek knives. It's fit, function, and appearance are all one would and should expect from Kershaw. It came razor sharp and super pointy right out of the box. The blade slices with ease on everything I've tried. The "slicey," if you will, nature of the blade gives a very satisfying feeling as it goes to work. The blade is well centered and the release and unlock features function perfectly. As I stated, the knife is made in the USA and I'm proud to have it amongst my growing collection. Buy with confidence!

Nice EDC
Great knife. Light weight, descent size, sharp, cool color. Scored mine on super sale! My EDC daily. I like the blade profile best as it's a little straighter then the smaller version, and easier to sharpen. Would buy again, and again.
