It is a strong and effective product in desert summer sun.
I used this product for sun shade over a spa initially. It lets light in but not glare. That meant no sunburn! Then I made insulating inserts for my sun-facing windows and covered them with the fabric. Placed in the window, they are esthetically pleasing from the outside and, with only a few inches of glass allowing light in, my electric bill was 25 per cent to a third lower this year than last year. After several months, they show no wear or tear. I still have material left and will add insulating other glass to my "getting ready for summer" to do list.

So far so good for DIY sunshade!
Update: 2 years later, they are still holding up well in our backyard!! We did have an area rip during a heavy storm, but I used floral wire to "sew" it back together and the sunshade has been holding up since!Bought this to put up a DIY sunshade for an outdoor structure and had leftover material for a couple extra small projects. It's been about a month and holding up well so far, and has provided much needed shade this summer. There were a few areas where the weave was not perfect (a minor quality issue) but nothing major.

Works Well For Shading
I bought this to use primarily on our chicken coops, to offer as much shade as possible in our brutal heat. My only other experience with shade cloth has been the Coolaroo brand. This is lighter weight, and in my opinion, not as well made. However, it does the job. The top and bottom edges are "finished", while the cut edges obviously aren't. It cuts easily, and seems to be holding up just fine. I did read a review (or two?) about not receiving the full amount - so I did keep track of sections I cut off; the roll I received contained just over 50 ft, and all was useable. The last foot or two was pretty creased, but the integrity wasn't blemished. It doesn't let much air movement through - whether that's a good thing or bad thing depends on your purposes I suppose. I would buy this again for my purposes without hesitation.

Nice, strong fabric.
I used this fabric to build a privacy fence and the neighbors are actually using this idea to build privacy fences in their yards. Lots of compliments! Love the color (beige). I used 2x4’s to build the fence and bought solar light caps for the 2x4s. I am now in the process of designing a ‘courtyard’ in front of the house using this fabric. Will install courtyard style wood doors to enclose the space and install a pond. With a little imagination, the possibilities are endless and is cheaper than building with wood!

Shade cloth that works for the Texas sun tp protect plants
Project to roof a pergola to protect succulents from direct sun, where shade cloth covered the entire roof structure. Product worked very well and was secured with zip ties and picture hanging wire. Biggest advantage of product is length of roll and width when unfolded resulting in substantial coverage of area. Not the easiest job done from a ladder but result quite good. Product has held up in rain and some wind. Attractive looking.

Great material of outdoor patio sun structure
We live in the Midwest and have rain, hail, snow, ice and a lot of wind. Needed a material for a sun cover that could be open or shut, easily sewn, lightweight, we could take down when snow begins to fall and would give us sun protection yet let in light. This material did what we needed. We just put it up and immediately love it. We designed it to allow it to drape down a little. Was very easy to sew and you could crease it easily with a ruler. I used outdoor Coats thread and a heavy duty needle on my sewing machine. The only adjustment I needed to make to sewing was with the tension. Our backyard is not very deep and faces northwest, so afternoon sun is intense. The length of the 2 decks is 36 feet and we needed 32 feet to cover the sun structure. Adding seams, draping, allowing for the sun structure to be created in 2 sections, I used 42 feet of material. We created our own pulley system to hang, open and shut the sun shade. Haven't had wind or rain yet, but feel confident this will last several years.

Great Overhead Shade Product!!
I recently re-did my Mom's patio with this 96% Fence4ever overhead shade and it looks really good. Her last overhead shade lasted my then 20 years and I wanted to find something durable and that looked good. I can't say how long this will last but I am banking on another 15+ years (I hope), lol. This overhead shade seems like a really good product as I use to sell this years ago in my previous job. I'll give it stars for now as it seems really durable and looks great!!!
