mood lighting
I like this bulb when I want to unwind and relax. It sets the tone and helps relax the room. Great when you do not want bright light. It is a little pricey but the effectiveness made it worth it.

Great for baby’s room
I put these lights in my granddaughter’s bedroom and in my room. They are so great for getting ready for bed and middle of the night feedings. They give off enough light to get pj’s on and read a story. I added a dimmer adapter to the lamp and it makes it so perfect for the middle of the night and after stories are read and it is time to just rock and sing a lullaby.

Soft Amber Glow
Needs a lamp shade, I bought two, looks quite pretty under a lavender shade. Once you find a shade that tones down the brightness, it's amazing. The light calms and relaxes the mind and body. They say it's great for babies. But it is great for anyone.

Natural adult sleep too!
Man, the wife and I love to read before bed and having a regular bulb can end up making me just feel awake. This bulb delivers a nice twilight light (it's a pretty orange-ish hue) that really doesn't interrupt my body's natural unwinding towards sleep. That was the point of this purchase and boy did it deliver! The light is bright enough to read by, or sleep by. I find it nearly impossible to fall asleep under a normal 40w light bulb.Ok, so the downside... The color spectrum of the bulb doesn't really allow for viewing things in full color. everything takes on a red-orange-amber...or black appearance. That curtailed my reading magazines in bed. Minor inconvenience, but I have plenty of novels to consume.I wish they had this when my son was a baby. It would have been a perfect addition to a bedtime ritual and skip the jolting bright light to pitch black room, or even a little bright focal point like a night light. Mom and dad can get in there and get things settled, see what they are doing, and tot can feel the natural slide towards slumber that twilight light causes in the human body. It's a little pricey, and I wouldn't try to use this in an overhead light. Just a nice table/floor lamp will do the trick.

Perfect night light for promoting sleep!
I he's had difficulty falling asleep and I remember even as a child being up until the wee hours of the morning. My sleep medicine suggested not using soft whight light in the bedroom as I get ready for bed at night. I've been using a 13 W yellow fluorescent but even that's too bright. In the course with Jane on my lighting to LED because they are more energy efficient I found this fall and ordered it. It is perfect! It gives off just enough light to see what you're doing but is not so bright that it disturbs the bodies ability to fall asleep. I just ordered a second one to use as a light in my bathroom for the times when I get up in the middle of the night. Obviously as an adult I haven't used it for a baby, but if it works for me a person who's had trouble falling asleep her entire life, I have to with it would work as well.

Great for Nursery, Brighter Than Expected
I ordered this as a light for my newborn’s nursery for nighttime feedings. I am working on trying to help him establish his days and nights and read that a light like this would help him know it’s night time but still give me the ability to see to change and feed him. I find it it has helped and he is getting his days and nights figured out however this bulb is brighter than I expected. I am very happy with it and it does give me enough light to be able to bring him into the nursery and do what I need to do without having to turn on any more harsh or white lights. That being said, it’s not a light that you would be able to leave on and sleep with because it really does illuminate the whole room with that soft yellow light. So, if you’re looking for something to leave on bedside while you sleep, I think this bulb is a bit too bright. I cosleep with my son in my room so I just leave this bulb on at night time in his nursery so when I pick him up and bring him into his nursery it’s already on and I can see without having to turn any lights on or off. I am overall very happy with this product and I do think that the yellow light does what they advertise it does, to help with the nighttime and daytime confusion. I am going to look for a smaller plug-in nightlight with yellow bulb to use in my room to have on while I sleep so I can look over and check on my son in the bassinet without having to turn on a light and disturb my husband. I do hope this bulb lasts for very long time because I had a bit of a hard time with the price, it seems very high for one lightbulb! I have had it for about a month and thankfully it hasn’t burned out and I’m hoping it lasts a very long time because of the price seemed kind of high for me, but I am still glad that I bought it I am happy with the product.

This bulb is worth every penny
Can a light bulb be worth $19.99? YES! What a difference in my sleeping habits! When getting ready to start winding down for the night, I turn off the lights in my living room except for a lamp with this bulb in it, lie on the couch watching TV and am able to fall asleep on the couch because of the soft, amber-tinted non-blue-light emitted from this bulb. To avoid the "blue light" interference from the TV I wear glasses from Gamma Ray (also bought on Amazon) with lightly tinted amber lenses. Yes, I am hard core, but at age 60+ my sleeping habits had turned to cr*p, so I am on a mission to reset my sleeping habits, and I enjoy watching TV and reading at night. So far so good, love this bulb.
