Q: How long is the actual round door closer? We need a 9" to replace the one on our screen door. Hard to find.

I disagree with a prior responder, Peter Y. I too have a 9" (actual round door closer length) pneumatic door closer that needed replacement. I purchased the V920 version on the basis of the prior responder, informing that a 9" closer would need the 920/1020, NOT the 820. I had to return it (the 920) and subsequently purchase the V820. If the round/tube portion (only) of your closer is 9", you need this product (the V820). It is an exact match (no drilling new holes, etc). The 920/1020 will be (much) too long.

Outside length is 9” The mounting pin locations are 11 1/4” apart Hope that helps

There's a screw on the end that adjustments how fast it closes, I can't remember which way or how much does what, but that's a way to change the way it shuts.

Good replacement value

This fixed our broken storm door quickly and was super easy to install. All the parts were included plus a few extra left over, a real value that beats a new door. It's sturdy, and locks solidly and quietly, without slamming so fast you catch your heel (we've all done that one!). You might need to drill new holes, but that's not a big deal.

Solid Door Closer

Solid basic door closer. Works similarly to others I've gotten and installs the same - quick and easy. One feature I liked was that the screws and hardware were all black - looks a little nicer than others with silver screws.Deducted one star for a few small issues:This closer is a little shorter than others, so the door opens a little less.It makes a little bit of a groaning noise on opening which is a little distractingIt has white branding on it (not a sticker) so it's there forever and looks a bit tacky unlike others I've had.

Bangs harder than a screen door in a hurricane! 😜

Mixed feelings about this .. thing does close well .. well so fast it slams my screen door on my heals / closes hard. But you can get used to that.. but the stroke is short so it barely opens less than 90 degrees

Inferior product - 30 day warranty

I bought two of these and both failed within a couple months. They are less expensive than the ones I bought at Lowes, and a slightly different model number, but the two I bought at Lowes are working just fine. I can't imagine these could be knockoff's but would not be surprised.
