Lasted 4 years
I bought this for my son and he has been pretty hard on it. He does not treat his toys like garbage but he does play with them and it held up. Yes, the tracks fell off from time to time but he liked putting them on and off. He really enjoyed this toy and got a lot of dirt time from it. He loves playing in rocks and dirt/sand. It did slowly break down until it was not usable but for the what it cost and time he spent on it I will gladly buy another.

Great Toy!
Great toy! My son loves it! The only negative I can find is that the handle to manipulate the arm and bucket is a little flimsy but for the price it is hardly a complaint. The tracks stay on too! Some other tracked vehicles that I have bought the tracks come off very easily but these stand up pretty well.

not very sturdy
My grandson needed a more sturdy toy. However it is a nice toy if the child is a bit careful.

Holds up to the play of a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old
I bought this for a 4 yr old boy who loves construction toys. He plays very hard with his toys and it often involves crashes and thing falling down stairs. He recently got a few other toys similar to this and he breaks parts of them quickly. This excavator has held up to his abuse and the fighting over it between him and his 2 yr old brother. They love the toy and how realistic it is. I like that it can take the daily abuse and keep going. My 4 yr old will even take it to bed with him and carries it everywhere. I would recommend this to anyone searching for a larger sized excavator for a child. My 4 yr old requested one “that had a handle for the boom arm and was as tall as my belly” it’s not quite that big when extended but it’s close enough for him. It has been his favorite toy since he opened it.

Nice track excavator but breaks easily
It's my kid's favorite excavator toy. It moves smoothly, and the boom operates well. But one of the cylinder broke within a week, making me worried about its durability...

Great gift for toddler boys
Gave this as a gift twice to a couple of boys just turning 3. It was the hit of both parties. It was the favorite of both boys. They each opened their gifts and went right back to the excavator and would not put it down. The only issue is that the tracks fall off and have to be put back on often. Toddler boys loved it!!

Very intersctive
My grandson loved this vehicle. He plays with it constantly. He is 3 1/2 with great imagination. The excavator actually works so digging is more fun for my grandson.

Breaks fast; expensive for what you get
Considering how long it lasts before it doesn’t work for my boys, it isn’t worth it.My oldest disliked the way the treads worked and how quickly interacting with dirt/sand would impact the ability to make the arm/bucket move.First one broke within 15 min of being opened. Returned it and got a second one. Second one slowly became more and more difficult for my boys to make the arm work. Returned it and gave up on excavator toy.Every brand we have tried, up to one that was over $60, just doesn’t hold up to playing with sand/dirt the way the pics show it working. I wish I could find a metal one like the To ka dump truck, but alas, it doesn’t seem to be around…
