Holds up great after a couple of years
I wanted a black faucet for my kitchen from a reliable manufacturer, and this one has exceeded my expectations. The quality is outstanding—the black finish hasn’t peeled, chipped, or faded, even after years of daily use. It still looks sleek and modern, with no signs of wear. The pull-down sprayer works smoothly and snaps back into place securely, which was something I was worried about when choosing a faucet. The water flow is strong and consistent, and the handle moves effortlessly for precise temperature control. Installation was straightforward, and everything feels sturdy and well-made. No leaks, no issues—just a great faucet that has held up beautifully over time. I’m really happy with this purchase and would choose it again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful look, solid construction, valve operation very solid. GREAT customer service.
Bought this from Amazon and it was sold as "new". When it arrived, the product had fingerprints on the faucet itself and some of the packaging seemed to have been handled. I'm unclear whether local Amazon distribution centers are responsible for this practice of selling previously-returned items as "new" or if it is a company-wide practice. Obviously, its a huge issue for Amazon given the broad variety of things they sell, but there should be a separate category other than "new" for things that may have been returned or otherwise handled between factory and consumer.Despite the indications of a possibly returned product, I went ahead and installed this. I guess I was feeling optimistic. The install went smooth enough and no parts were missing. The touch function of this faucet means that "downstream" from the faucet valve (the handle attached to the spout) there is a battery-powered solenoid that senses your touch on the faucet (works best on the metal neck or handle). That solenoid has a sensor lead that you attach to the threaded part of the faucet below the counter surface - this clips on easily, no problem. The solenoid also has a power lead that goes to a battery pack that holds six (6) AA batteries. This battery case is about the size of a banana but doesn't really have any obvious way to mount underneath the sink or even any holes to help you hang it up out of the way. If the power leads to this pack are touched, it will actuate the sink. This is a bit of a flaw, but not really a big deal if you mount the pack out of the way. Still, don't bury it because the batteries will need changing a few times per year. My solution was just to make a little paracord cradle to hang this on some of the sink undermount brackets -- basically any solution that lets you hang this out of the way in a place you can access for battery changes should be ok.The problem we had with our Delta faucet sold by Amazon as "new" was that it had a bad solenoid. It didn't function smoothly, it was loud, it had reduced flow, then it stopped working. Rather than returning this to Amazon and having this happen again, possibly, to another customer, I called Delta the next business day. At Delta, I talked to a US-based Delta employee who was able to understand the diagnosis steps I had taken already and confirm the solenoid issue. They mailed me a new solenoid which arrived within a week. Installed the new solenoid and all functions perfectly now.The touch feature is a really nice upgrade that keeps the area around the faucet handle about 90% cleaner because it doesn't constantly get dripped on with wet hands.Awesome product, awesome company (Delta). Thanks!

Really nice faucet!
Our old kitchen faucet decided to go potty (under the sink) about 3 weeks before Christmas ('22). We have an older stainless steel sink with the 4 holes. We decided on this one specifically WITHOUT the touch feature (or any other electronics). The last thing I wanted to deal with was a faucet that turned on and off just because it was moved from one side to the other. We chose the Essa style because it looks elegant, yet simple. Additionally, we didn't want a bunch of curves, fillagree, or flat surfaces to hold water (and also bacteria). This one is VERY easy to clean and looks as good as the day we bought it!We chose the Arctic chrome finish. INSTALLATION: I'm fairly handy and have some experience with home plumbing. This was not my 1st faucet install. Even still, this took roughly an hour to get it fully installed. Was fairly straightforward, but getting the base of the faucet tightened in a small space underneath and perfectly even up top was a little challenging. With my wife's help up top, I was able to get it tightened up perfectly. They do provide fairly lengthy connection pipes that CAN be looped (an 8" diameter is the max they recommend). There is roughly a 4' long hose that connects the pull-down spout with a donut size and style weight that hangs below the faucet. The design and material lead me to believe there would be virtually zero wear even after several years. The weight provides the "pull" to bring the end of the faucet back up. There is a slight magnetic catch that holds the pull-down in place. We're on a well, and our water pressure is set between 30-50psi. At the low end there's not a lot coming out, but it's certainly usable. We're about to change that too and move it up to a 40-60psi pressure switch along with a new pressure tank (all that's another story). The pull-down spout works great in the normal mode, but when switched to sprayer mode, water seems to bounce off the dishes almost everywhere. Maybe with a deeper sink, this would be better. We opted for a soap dispenser to fill in the 4th hole of the sink, but we chose the dispenser from a different Delta model to match the swooping flow of this faucet design. Overall, after a couple months of use, this faucet is outstanding! Highly recommend it.
