St. Ives Deep Replenishing Mineral Therapy Body Lotion, 21 Ounce

I am on a special diet so I was looking to purchase a complaint lotion. This one was on the list and I've tried a couple but this one works the best for me. I also use the lotion from the diet office and like it but I feel that my hands end up even dryer the next day. I keep one at home and one at my office. It's non-greasy, not runny, and made my skin super soft. It has a light scent to it so the smell is not overpowering.

I purchased this lotion as it was recommended by a YouTuber I watch who claims it helped her avoid stretchmark's during her pregnancy. So, obviously I'm going out on a limb to test of that will work for me or not, but as a lotion it is definitely moisturizing.The Bad Parts: The smell takes some getting used to. The first time I used it I was convinced it was rancid. The smell to me is just a little off-putting, but I have gotten used to it over the last couple months. Additionally, there are little brown flecks in the lotion - likely a "mineral" of some sort as that's what the lotion claims to have - but I find them to be a little irritating when I use the lotion on my hands or feet and the little flecks get stuck between my fingers or toes.

When I received the lotion, it wouldn't come through the pump. When I looked inside it was like thick paste. I called St. Ives & was told that should not be like that & most likely was stored wrong. They sent me a coupon for a free bottle to use at the store (Walmart carries it). Unfortunately, the coupon expired 3 weeks after receiving it, and it never got used! I just bought another at Walmart & it is more of a lotion. I would have given this 5 stars because the lotion is fantastic!! Very softening...not sticky or greasy. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the product was defective, but I still used it by glopping it on with the straw end of the pump.

This is not a product I would purchase again or recommend to anyone. The original product left my skin very nourished and smooth with just a couple of applications daily. I use this new product numerous times daily and it does not have the same effect at all. I am very disappointed with St Ives for not testing this one more thoroughly.

The BEST lotion I've ever used, it's like magic. Easily absorbed with no greasy residue or clammy feel; allow a couple of minutes & your skin just takes it in. I've given it as gifts at Christmas and it's always been appreciated. It can be difficult to find and price varies wildly so I stockpile it when I see a good buy. If you like feeling oily and sticking to your clothes this isn't for you but if you want a lotion that actually heals dry cracked elbows this is what you need.

I love the smell, but the lotion does not last and is immediately absorbed by my super dry skin. I do find this is the best one of the bunch, because it has some great healing effects, especially on my super dry elbows.

Get it! This is a no brainer. Trust me, just put yourself on Subscribe and Save because everyone in the house will be parchment dry this winter. This is not heavy, it's not greasy, it's light, rich and smells fantastic. (I can't stand greasy or heavy on the skin) Keeps the parchment legs and hands to a minimum. I appreciate products that perform above my expectations.
