Francis Ittikora, gives expression to a conspiracy theory that combine together history, mythology, medieval sciences and politics, grounded in the vocabulary and geography of Kerala. The story moves through its peculiar rituals and historical anecdotes to create a convincing narrative. However, the casual menace in the tone horrifies the reader with its violence and misogyny. The female body is extremely objectified and sexual ableism is what defines each character. Hedonistic principles are upheld to the point that sometimes the reader gets repulsed by the sexual violence and anarchy.
