I’ve had other coffee filters that have separated and allowed the grinds into my cup. This filter never breaks. I love the whole system. Makes a great cup of coffee.

I got the V60 just before the lock down and had a pack of filters that came with the unit. Getting laid off and not hunting them down in different markets I used filters I had on hand or bought something I thought might work.If you are serious enough to invest 4 minutes each time each time you want a cup of joe, then you will appreciate the difference. When I am not using fresh roasted beans I am known to r'reuse" these up to 7-8 times. I could squeeze even more uses if I wanted to but that is where "I" draw my line.Once you get the hang of it, the filter takes on an almost linen like quality at that stage.(Judge away... but I am being realistic about the state of things and 2¢ here and 2¢ there adds up to delaying another 17$ filter replacement purchase in a few months. So if you are wisely hunkered down for the long haul. I'm telling you it's okay to do.)another tip would be to "drop the filter into the V60tug on the "nipple" of paper that extends past the bottom openingthen lay the filter flat against the walls and put the crease 180° from where the seam is.this sounds arduous and complicated rather than thinking but becomes second nature after the first few times, and yields a better interface between the cone and the coffee grinds. Thereby forcing the water to go through the mound rather than bypassing it.

These are genuine Hario coffee filters designed to work with a V60 pour over filter holder. They do their job well. I've never had one to blow out or leak coffee grounds. With properly ground coffee, they provide consistent brewing times and results.

I received the newer updated version of these filters from a Japanese seller. They have green plastic packaging instead of the pink shown in the item images. They are different but not necessarily worse. The newer filters have have a higher flow rate so your draw down will be much quicker. You have to adjust your grind size to compensate. I don't know if these newer filters are capturing fewer fines. Depending on the seller, you might still receive the older pink packaged version with slower flow rate.
