Perfect for micro dosing cycles
Using this to cycle my new 90gl. My system has been running for a couple of months already, but I've been to busy to do anything with it since I set everything up. This stuff works great. Getting the measurements correct are a little hard, but I found that 1 tsp raises my NH3 to near 0.067 mg/l. The first dose took around 2 weeks to cycle. Once the ammonia levels dropped back to 0.001 mg/l my NO3 tested at near 5.0 ppm. The amonia levels from the second dose of 1 tsp is still reducing, but it's only taken 4 days to drop down to 0.018 mg/l. I plan on testing Nitrate levels once this cycle is completed and duing a 50% water change before dosing a third time. I think 3 to 4 cycles should be enough to stabilize the system. However, since I won't be adding livestock for another month or two. I'll probably add 1/16-1/4 tsp each day to feed the bacteria. I'll adjust that as needed. Hopefully, I can maintain my NO3 at 3-5.0 ppm with this.I definitely recommend this product if you want to save yourself some time. I prefer this method of micro dosing while cycling my tanks. I think it's easier to mimic a normal daily feeding schedule this way. Also, I get a pretty good idea of how my tank params will change daily when checking my system logs. I may increase my daily dose later about a week or two before doing a final water change and adding livestock. I use the Seneye Reef for active monitoring, and manually test the water weekly.

Fritz Pro Chloride
I was skeptical that this would "chemically" burn wood, but it does. I am still learning abt pyrography techniques, but with this product, a proven wood burning recipe & my cricut .. well, I am having a blast. It seems one has to have a wood burning tool for more artistic endeavors, but then again.. maybe not. The approach is different with this chemical, mixed into a paste with another product (Thick It or Cornstarch) but the results R kind of amazing as long as you embraceba different approach & practice PATIENCE. This is not a technique to be rushed. Good Product & Economical, too. Highly Recommend

Works for fishless cycle
Works as advertised. Didn’t know there was the liquid option so I ended up with the container that’ll last me a life time. 1/8 teaspoon per 12.5 gal and adding api quick start **DAILY**. 1st dose 2ppm ammonia 48 hours nitrite to nitrate. 2nd dose 2ppm 30-36 hours nitrite to nitrate. 3rd dose 4ppm. 24-32 hours nitrite to nitrate. 4th dose 24 hour nitrite to nitrate. 5th dose ammonia for CONFIRMATION. 0 ppm ammonia/nitrite under 20 hours. Fully cycled in 8 days!Update: QT 2 gal, new filter, no substrate, one decor, and a few small plants. Dropped 2PPM ammonia using diluted ammonia method. Dose beneficial bacteria. Tested ammonia daily and still present after a week. With previous reviews on not getting cycled and myself now, add substrate to cycle. Couldn’t cycle without substrate.

Best stuff there is
Okay. So for those of you first starting a fish tank over 10 gallon, you know you have to cycle the tank. This can be done with fish or without, though without is the best and the more humane. The directions day 1 teaspoon of this powder for 100 gallons of water. I used 1/4 tsp for a 40 gallon bowfront aquarium and it gave me an ammonia reading of about 4PPM. ( this is what I was aiming for).It works in a matter of about 2 minutes. This is also a HUGE container. You can cycle probably 1000 fish tanks with this stuff. The container has about 2 full cups of powder and you'll use about 1/4 teaspoon or less for a 40 gallon.Highly reccomend to get your tank started cycling.

Use SPARINGLY!!
So I bought this to kick start the cycle of my aquarium since I started trying the fish food method first but was frustrated with 0ppm ammonia tests for more than a week and a half. Sure enough I was so excited when the box was delivered that the first thing I did was rip it open with child-like glee. Of course, I tested my water first juuuust to make sure there wasn't some magical surge of ammonia lurking beneath the neon colored substrate, and sure enough, once again, 0ppm.The bottle recommends one teaspoon (4.5g) per 100 gallons to achieve 4ppm of ammonia. So armed with my trusty kitchen scale, a shot glass and a plastic spoon I decided that I will add tiny amounts of the powder until I reach 1gm (Im cycling a 20g tank) and then I would take some off since my scale only does whole number increments. Add a little tank water to dilute and then dump in the tank.SUCCESS!!!!! (In my best Dexter's Lab voice)......... Sort of.using my trusty API Freshwater master test kit, I got a strange color not known to the reference chart of the test kit..... BLUE. Yes, that's right, BLUE. Not the yellow of 0ppm or the green hues of the normal ranges of 0.25ppm to 8ppm. I got BLUE. So a quick internet search for my outlier resulted in what I had suspected was the culprit. Too Much Ammonia. So hey, this product works!!! Too well, actually. So if youre like me and doing a fishless cycle, by all means, buy this product, its large enough that you will only need to buy one to have enough to cycle an aquarium large enough to charge for admission. The ONLY reason this got 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the learning curve, as this product requires a very miniscule amount of salt to treat a fairly large amount of water.
