Great desert hiking gators
I wore these gators hiking through the Sonoran desert. Protected me from cat claw and multiple other bushes and cactus on my hike. Held up great! A little loose on me, but I have very skinny legs! Still worked for desert hiking protection. Did 28 miles and they are still in like new condition.

Leg gators
It actually a pair, not just 2 identical items. You will need to choose wich one is left or right. I really like the wire bottom. A inch wide vinyl strap just sounds SLIPPERY, I think the wire is safer. They are built almost identically to another pair (2 identical) that finally failed after 3 winters. I USED them and was unkind.I think these will be worth the $

Geocache in peace
Got these for geocaching in the summer cause there are a lot of snakes. Luckily I haven’t had to experience them in action yet but it definitely gives me a little peace of mind wearing them.

Sturdy, though tight
Have yet to use these. A lot of people say these aren't stretchy enough and feel a little too tight. I encountered the same issue (I'm 6'2 and weigh 200 lbs). The solution I came up with was to take a seam ripper and remove the top piece of inner black elastic. Took some time, but made them way more comfortable. They seem sturdy and trustworthy. Looking forward to using them on my next hike on the Allegheny trail in WV where timber rattle snakes are very prevalent.

Smaller than expected
Way smaller than expected. Unable to put on over pants leg and barely over directly to skin. These are more for size of a small kid or very small adult. I'm 6' and slim build. Appears to be built well just runs on smaller side.

Feel safer
Every year I see at least 1 copperhead. And I had to struggle to keep my dog from attacking them. That dog passed and Im not doing serious hiking with a chihuahua. And now rattlesnakes are in certain areas where they never have been before (at least the adults warn you.) And on all the local Hudson Valley sites people post snake photos daily. There is like no cell phone reception in these areas. I'd die trying to get out. So, I can't say they saved my life for I haven't tested them out by experience but they are pretty damn sturdy and I can have some peace of mind. If I do have a snake attempt to bite me I will update.

Sent me two left legs and noisy
Received these for a hunting trip but received two left gators which meant that the right had the buckle on the inside and hit the left left. Also for hunting purposes they are too noisy. Fine for hiking or snowshoeing , assuming you get a right and a left. The material is waterproof and the zipper and backed up by Velcro was good. They stayed in place, but just not a good option for hunting.

Well made but might be too small for larger people
I'm petite so these work, they're extremely effective, especially if you're concerned about ticks.I am a petite woman and they are tight over pants, so my only caution would be if you have thick legs or large calves, they might be too small
