These drill bits do very well in hard material (oyster shells), but the diamond coating does wear off making them then like any other bit.

Nice diamond coated bits for drilling holes into glass, although not sure why it mentions dremels because the collects that come with it are 0.165" diameter but most dremels use 1/8" bits (0.125"), and the largest bit itself is 2.5mm (~0.1"). I just use them without the collects, in a drill press. Make sure to use water when cutting glass!

The bits worked okay although a little bit challenging to fit my Dremel. But they did work with a little finessing. They were packaged in just simple plastic, so you need a container to secure them when not using.

I use these diamond drill bits for sea glass and gemstones, and they work great. This set has four really useful sizes and works perfectly with my Dremel. It comes with collets, so it fits securely. Strong, accurate, excellent value-recommended to all jewelry makers!

The most important thing to keep in mind is that these are only 1 mm diameter, that is very very tiny! As such, any binding at all will break them instantly. That means an unusually hard spot in what you're drilling, tilting your Dremel on any angle outside of perfectly square once you have a hole started, and just as the bit breaks through the bottom side of what you're drilling.As for cutting performance, it takes a significant amount of patients and an extremely steady handIn terms of performance, frankly I was disappointed. I expected them to cut much much more aggressively.Even with generous amounts of water, an exceedingly steady hand, and a sensitive touch, it took nearly a minute to get through a one and a half millimeter thick seashell. I expected it to take a few seconds.

Patience, patience, patience. I drilled out over .5 inches of a broken 5/16-18 tap. I had to drill dry. Ya, I know you're supposed to keep them wet. I'm sure I went through more bits dry, but couldn't keep them wet where I was working. Very happy with the product.

well from what I have seen using this drill bit. They are not very good at all.The bill will not drill trough stone very well. I have used 11 of them just trying to drill through normal agitate. The larger bits drill though this with ease. But the 1mm will only if you get lucky enough to get one with the diamond on the end. In order to drill the two stones I have I had to go through 11 bits to find the one that did the job.. Not impressed at all. But like I said the larger work good...

This diamond drill bit set works exactly as the description claims. We use these in a Dremel tool. (The set comes with the adapter pieces that hold the bit snug). They do take some time to drill through thick materials, but we were able to drill through glass easily by starting at an angle, then straightening out. The trick is to be patient, and do some test pieces to get the pressure right, and a feel for it. We purchased a small $10 metal vice with a plastic clamp piece on Amazon as well, which we set in a bowl of water to hold the pieces for the drilling process, and that worked excellent. The bits seem very strong and well-made. Quality product, and nice that you get so many for the price! Highly recommend for jewelry making, crafts, drilling beach stones, etc. just don’t forget you have to drill under water!
