Vocalists: Can't Clear Your Throat? Look No Further.
I have been looking for something to help to clear this stupid gunk out of my throat for some time, now. Like another reviewer, I had tried that Nin Jiom syrup, and several other popular remedies. Don't get me wrong, that Chinese syrup is great, but nothing would clear me out all the way. Using the other things, I could get my singing voice to come out crisp and clear during practice, but still, no matter how much I hacked up, it was like I had this dried-on "super glue" gunk stuck in one particular spot, that wouldn't move, no matter what, and it was really messing with my ability to perform properly. I had figured out how to "sing around it", but it was still really annoying. "Gargle Away" is the only thing that finally got things moving, and after only ONE use. Just a heads up though, it's really nasty-tasting and super spicy. When I was done, my mouth was burning and my nose was running like crazy, but it was totally worth it. If NOTHING else has worked for you, seriously, try this stuff. You do "only" get 6 packets in a box, but, no worries, it IS worth the $10. It's not like you need to use them everyday, anyhow. Think of them as, like, "throat BOMBS". How many do you NEED? Lol. Being that they're like everything else you've ever tried all at once, on steroids, 6 for $10 really is plenty. FYI, I will never be without these, now. - EmhaUPDATE (11/11/21):I have not been officially diagnosed, but based upon the symptoms I was having, it seems that I was suffering from acid reflux, and that was making it seemingly impossible to completely clear my throat. I had to make a few changes to my diet, and I figured I should probably try something a bit more gentle than the "Gargle Away" as well, when need be. FYI, the "Gargle Away" also seems to feel less harsh/spicy the more often you use it, so it doesn't produce the same effect with overuse, and ends up drying out the throat. Anyhow, I recently tried the Throat Coat drops, which, fortunately, do not contain mint––something that is said to exacerbate reflux––and they are fantastic. They still have citric acid and lemon oil in the ingredients, but I am not getting the same reaction from them as when I put lemon juice in my tea. I will still keep the "Gargle Away" on hand for colds and emergencies, since it can't be used regularly, I suppose, but I highly recommend those throat drops for daily use. They are a bit pricey ($6 for 16 drops), but totally worth it. The tea is also nice.

Don’t wimp out this stuff is a miracle worker in a packet!
This stuff WORKS. I suffer from chronic post nasal drip as well as strep throat and tonsillitis. I get strep 3-4x a year (I know it sucks) I’m waiting to get my tonsils removed which will eliminate strep all together - but this stuff literally is heaven sent. From the moment I start feeling a little PND (Post nasal drip) to having a sore throat - I use one - two packets and it’s gone. I get INSTANT relief. What I usually do and what works best for me is I get a coffee mug and I fill it up with warm/hot water (not too hot) & then I mix a full packet in. I gargle with this until the whole mug is finished. And I usually try to gargle for 10-15 seconds each if possible. By the end of the cup my sinuses are clearing up. My cough and throat feel so much better and I can feel the PND clearing up like clouds after the rain! Hallelujah! Thank you Ms. Jeannie. This is the best natural way to kick any sore throats ass. Oh and YES. It’s spicy. More-so when you’re like 4-5 gargles in - but it’s because of the oregano which is extremely important and anti viral! So don’t wimp out. Just push through it. Oregano oil is an amazing anti viral - when you’re sick it’s one of the best things for you. So yes it’s spicy but just think of that spiciness killing all the nasty crap that’s making you feel bad. You’ll be so grateful once you feel a lot better!

Works better than ANYTHING!
Stumbled onto this product at Walmart last year when I was struck by the flu. I’ll be honest, it is not the best tasting medicine, but it’s absolutely the most effective. It relieves sore throat and helps get rid of that raspy, can barely talk, almost laryngitis sick voice. It’s also great for getting rid of all that thick nasty mucous that clogs up the back of your throat from sinus drainage and has even helped my cough on occasion. Seriously, this is my go to when I’m getting sick. The only downside is that Walmart stopped carrying it and you can only get it online! This is kinda a big one, since you never know when you’re gonna wind up getting sick. Now that I know, though, I make sure to always have this stuff on hand just in case. I hope some other stores, like pharmacies and grocery stores, start carrying this. Trust me, just try it and you’ll feel better fast and be a customer for life!!

Beware - burst of Spicey Hot!!
Okay, I've been suffering from sore throat pain over a week due to placement of feeding tube. Trued lozenges, salt water gargle, antiseptic spray- no relief. Just got this product and trued one gargle- WOW this is hot/spicy!! Gargled too much to begin with. Trued smaller 2nd gargle. It seems to have helped a little, but I haven't been able to get the gargle low enough in the Esophagus to reach where my pain is coming from. Just be careful - it's really hot/spicy!

hot pepper hot
I don't like hot peppers. This product is very hot. I thought I could stand to gargle with it, but I was wrong. It probably would have worked on my sore throat, but I just couldn't bear the pain.

Works and has natural ingredients
Does Gargle Away taste bad? Yes. Does Gargle away burn your mouth? Yes. But not as much as an alcohol based mouthwash. Does it work? Yes. For me , it works. But follow the directions and be consistent.

Actually seems to work
I was very skeptical of this after reading the reviews and didn’t take it right away. A lot of people complained that is was terrible tasting and burned and although it’s not the best tasting product I’ve ever used it was nowhere near as bad as people made it out to be. I kept waking up with sore throats and decided to try this, it was a little spicier than old bay (I’m pretty intolerant to spicy foods) and had a bit of a salty aftertaste. It was much milder than other reviewers described it to be and I honestly didn’t expect it to work but after just one dose of it I surprisingly woke up with no sore throat. I think it’s important to let this do what it’s designed to do and not brush or rinse afterwards to try to get rid of the aftertaste. The price is a little on the high side for what it is but I will probably buy this again.
