This is the second one of these locos I'm buying. The first one is already some years old, has been through hell and back as my kittle boy grew up, and is still running (although a bit slowly). So it can't be a mistake to buy the same article again! Also looks nice - less plasticky than some of the more expensive Brio battery locos.

Some of the negative reviews made us hesitant to buy this green "Freight Battery Engine" train for our young child who loves his Brio style trains and tracks. After researching a lot this one seemed like the best choice, regardless, and we got it for him for Christmas. This train has been so great! It's exactly what you would expect from Brio: solid, dependable, fun. The train pulls 3-4 cars easily over hills on the track and can pull 10+ cars around the flats, it doesn't move fast but it keeps on chugging along and never gives up. It's been treated pretty roughly with no problems and we haven't even had to change the battery yet (great battery life). Overall, I don't know if Amazon has some counterfeit ones in the mix or some reviewers just have unrealistic expectations, but this train has been great! Our son loves it.
