MikasaSW910-415 'Cheers' Etched Crystal Tumbler Glasses, 360 ml – Silver Effect (Set of 4)

Close to a decade ago we bought a set of 12 of these Mikasa stemless wine glasses. I broke the another one, my third from that original set, so started shopping casually for replacements. The place we bought them originally no longer carries them. Fortunately these replacements match the originals perfectly, and I can now set a whole table with them. With a spare it turns out.For first-timers, we like these because they are much less fragile and stable than real stemware, and are easier for our aging guests to hold. Each glass has its own decorative pattern etched on it, making it just a little easier for those guests to keep track of which is theirs. I can put a normal 5oz pour in one, and it sits low so less likely to fall over if bumped. All Good things! We do carefully hand-wash and dry all our glassware, in spite of the dishwasher ratings on most stuff these days. No big deal since the mouth is wide enough for sponge and polishing towel as needed.Need some nicer-than-common wine glasses? Something suitable for either red or white? Easy to clean? Look good on any dining or serving table? I think we have a winner!

Have ordered these glasses 2 times in the past with no problem.. This order arrived with 2 broken glasses. The carton was cobbled together from a carton that was too large. The resulting carton had too little support and no packing to make up for the poor carton. Maybe buying stemmed glassware from Amazon is not a good idea. Will likely try to find this product and other stemware locally in the future. Too bad. Buying from Amazon is very convenient.

Buy with confidence. High quality, sturdy crystal glasses with a fresh modern style. Our second set of "rocks" glasses. We also own three sets of "highball" glasses. Great quality and will buy again. Dishwasher safe.Just in case you're new at this: Don't let glasses touch anything else but plastic in the dishwasher or they will break. True for our glass, crystal, etc.

When St. Patrick's came and I was fixing dinner I realized I had no beer glasses. Now I do, and they are lovely!
