Superb quality product for equally superb coffee
If you're here to get one, you probably have watched the videos on YouTube or a friend using one. Both, in my case. Then finally, I decided to have the White Matt large 32oz, that means 10 tbs of coarse ground coffee if I wanted max ☕️. The double mesh filters are 9x and 12x finer than ordinary press, and ordered the paper filters as well as a spare (these are pending delivery). It's recommended you get these with your first order so you don't have too much to wait. The Espro7 arrived a whole week ahead of schedule, thanks to Prime membership. The box did arrive with dented edges but I was confident this would not affect the item within. Amazon could have done a better job with packing but I'm all for minimising plastic wrap use. The quality of the finished product is as good as advertised and looks terrific on the tabletop. I can't review the coffee here - that can be so subjective. But users of the large should note that the recommended steeping time (95 deg boiling water poured into the press with freshly coarse ground grains inside), should be about 4-5 minutes before using the plunger with an even pressure. Some claim to simply leave the plunger longer, and one said 3 mins was enough. See what I meant? 😂 So it depends what degree to sweetness or acidity you prefer, and beans you use. As for what coarse grains should look like, Bruce Constantine of Espro says the depressions in the logo on the top of the press should be able to perfectly fit the grains. Good tip there. Unfortunately someone has given me medium ground coffee, but I've found it works just as well. Always use both filters. The second filter screws out to be removed for better washing, especially with dishwashers. Enjoy. It's a product I definitely recommend if you're a fan of French Presses, or like me, want an alternative to V60 style and a larger output than the Moka induction makers I still use. Nothing like having a variety of coffee makers to suit your mood and volume needs.

Not worth the money
The Espro french press is visually pleasing, however, we found the coating to be rather fragile, the white color marks up easily during cleaning, and you will mark it up because for a 32oz press this thing is enormous. Unless you have a large sink, you're likely to find yourself making a conscious effort to keep from bouncing the press off the sink walls. In terms of function, we found that the press did not perform well as a double walled insulated product, I can leave steaming hot tea in a double walled insulated Yeti mug for 3 hours and at no point does the exterior of the mug feel any warmer than ambient temperature. With the Espro french press, seconds after pouring hot water into the press you can stat to feel the exterior temperature of the press increase, after a minute the press is very warm, almost too hot to hold. If you were planning on making two cups of coffee so that you could drink one after the other, this will most likely leave you with a close to luke-warm second cup.Considering the price, the coating which does not appear to be very robust, and the poor performance of the double walled insulation, the 3-star rating is the best I can offer for this product. Our trusted Bodum, at a fraction of the price, makes great coffee, is easy to clean, and looks the same as the day we first took it our of the box many hundreds of brews ago. The Bodum is single wall glass in construction and does not keep the coffee very warm for long, however, nor does the Espro, unfortunately.

Best French press I’ve owned
I started using French presses 35 years ago. I’ve broken 2 in the last year. Both from big names. The glass is too thin. Your French press is the best I’ve ever had!!!! Thank you!!

So glad I bought this
I researched a lot of french presses before replacing the one I had. Glad to say I made the right choice. This is large enough to make a big mug of coffee or two regular sized cups. It's insulated so my coffee stays warm I don't drink it all in one shot. The pot is well made and easy to clean. Last, but not least, the double filter means I don't have coffee grounds floating in my mug. I bit pricier than I planned, but I won't be replacing this one anytime soon. Worth it.
