I love this shredder. This is a cross shredder versus a strip shredder, I felt better knowing someone cannot steal my info since it us a cross shredder. The top is a little heavy but that is to be expected. The shredder has not overheated or jammed as of yet. The smaller size is great for tucking it away in a corner. It was a little more pricey than I wanted to pay but it is cheaper than someone stealing my identity.

As advertised. Cuts quickly and is fairly quiet. I just tried it and was pleased with the results.

I can't complain about a very cheap, reasonably price back-up shredder that does shred, so I'll list the things I noticed after having it 20 minutes.The top shredder fits onto the bucket by 1 notch on top fitting into 1 thin rail on the bucket. It sits on top; it doesn't lock. If you knock this over the top will fall right off. It is heavy but not overly so. If you had arthritis or weak hands it may be too heavy.The choppers ( see pic) aren't protected in any way but are recessed from the direct edge you are exposed to when you remove the top. Theyre still very reachable and deadly sharp. This would not be at all safe to have around children or pets who could knock it over. It's a bit cumbersome as I see some have handles on top to lift it up which would be safer and easier in hindsight.The instructions are some of the most polite I've read. The confusing part is it says, "maximum recommended daily use is 20 sheets of paper". Why, I do not know since other reviews show much being shredded in a day.Also says if it overheats to let it sit 40 minutes to cool off. Another reviewer said she did a lot with no issue. While I have only ground 3 sheets to test things, I'm thinking if I have to pace and stop or if it overheats easily I won't get much done.I found it pretty loud. One video posted in reviews has a piece of paper gliding into the shredder with..well...a papery sound. Another posted a loud jangle of the teeth mechanism and deep growling. This is what I have -I sort of stepped back and the cat took off like a bullet. If you don't intend to wake up anyone in say, the next 2 rooms, you might with this.The nice part is the switch is back-lit in blue, and changes to red if it's overheated.Shreds are small and not readable.Bucket is 4 gallons which is like a small bathroom garbage bucket. Nice for the price .

Very straight-forward and easy to use. It made short work of old bank statements and the like.My cat was very intrigued by the noise of shredding paper!

This little thing is a beast, the size is perfect for my desk. It's not too heavy and the handle at the top makes it super easy to remove the top. The cut quality is great and so far it's been working really well with no issues.

Works as it should. Love that it shreds 8 pages at a time and I did not have to remove staples. The first time I used it I filled it twice as I had let so much stack-up because my old shredder only took 2-pages at a time. It worked fine and did not overheat.

The product is functional...albeit weak and a little noisy. Overheats sooner than expected which slows down the shredding process. Thankfully, shredding is an infrequent need for me
