Can you slide an office chair under the desk? Or will it hit the sliding mechanism?

You can fit two chairs under the fixed part of the table without hitting the mechanism. I folded out the extending part of the table one handed so easy to extend. You could not fold out the extending part of the table table and sit in the middle of the table without hitting the legs on the fixed part. Its a very nice table though.
