One of my favorite movies
I am a Guy Richie movie fan in general and I really like the movie Snatch. The character Brick Top is a scream. Sadly, the actor passed away and is no longer acting. "Do you know what a nemesis is?"

A FANTASTIC movie if you love witty, funny British humor!
This is in my top 10 favorite movies in Comedy/Drama/action... I guess. I'm not a movie critic, but if you like movies that have some British humor, seriousness and love a good crime story... this is TOP NOTCH! Well written, and acting is fantastic as well. Great casting, and cinematography for what it is!

Funny as hell. A very fine dark comedy about a jewel heist and a bare-knuckle fight.
In response to the first review about the Superbit DVD, I thought it would've been the ORIGINAL from the SPECIAL EDITION version, but I was wrong and I did throw my receipt away. For those who made the same mistake I made, you can buy the SINGLE-DISC EDITION, which is the same 'Disc I' as in the SPECIAL EDITION version. Once that part is accomplished, you could try and pawn off the DELUXE EDITION SUPERBIT disc somewhere or hand it off to a good friend...*Shrug* that's what I did.* * * * * * * * * *Snatch is one of those rare movies where you might not be expecting much out of it, but when you see it, you fall in love with it and it only gets better everytime you see it. Guy Ritchie (the director) had won a british award for Best Promising Newcomer Director for his previous film 'Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrell's' which I have not seen yet, but I will be sure to. Snatch won some british awards as well for: Best Director, Actor (Vinnie Jones), and one for Sound Editing. Vinnie Jones (Bullet-Tooth Tony) did give a fine performance for not having much acting experience according to his own words, along with Dennis Farina (Cousin Avi), which he always cracked me up in the movie. Now...You've got Brad Pitt (Fight Club, SE7EN, Ocean's 11/12, etc...), who plays a gypsy, which doesn't have a lot of character when he makes his first appearance, but makes quite an impression when you find out he's a bare-knuckle championship star, along with his fights in the ring with Jason Statham (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrell's) and Stephen Graham (Gangs Of New York)...I wish Benicio Del Toro (Traffic [Won award for BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR], Hunted, The Way of the Gun) was in the movie more as the famous, Franky Four-Fingers...Was a promising character from the beginning. The DELUXE EDITION is great, the scrap book from the movie was fun to cruise through, but I didn't really understand the purpose of the poker set...The cards are cool and creative, heh. Finally, the Superbit DVD...I remember reading on the back that there a couple features it was suppose to have on it like the Director/Producer commentary, along with the "Stealing Stones" Enhanced Branching Mode...They weren't on it...That's when I read the review down below about the correct disc, which is why I only gave this review 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, the movie is fast-paced, dark, with that Pulp Fiction-type humor, and funny as hell (is reminded of the squeeking dog). Own it, but remember to get the SPECIAL EDITION, or if you do get the disappointing DELUXE EDITION, keep your receipt and trade it in for the correct 'Disc I'

SNATCH 4K vs SNATCH Bluray - Like Two Different Movies
Well, this is quite the surprise - this newly-scanned-at-4K-resolution disc of Guy Ritchie's dark comedic masterpiece is quite the revelation. The package comes bundled with the 2009 bluray [ which contains all the supplemtary features - the 4K disc is bare-bones] - and the two versions could not look more different. The 4K disc is incredibly sharp, and its colour temperature essentially turns the viewing experience on its head. How can I best describe it? It's like a black-and-white movie that has been tinted with blue-green.It has a lovely intricate grain structure that swarms across the image which is much more muted than its bluray counterpart.Sweat, blood, clothing textures, weaponry - all are magnificently captured at a resolution that far exceeds the original bluray release - it's as if Ritchie shot two movies at the one time and has been holding back this version until today. The bit rate for this 4K pass is in the high 70s and 80s [ sometimes peaking in the 90s! ] and the result is astonishing, a completely different visual experience.I suspect this disc is going to divide opinion in a major way - you'll either love this new look, or hate it.Remarkable.

Great Film
What a great film! Brad Pitt comes into his own and portrayals the Gypsy fighter perfectly. Statham is also fantastic. The story line is very good and I love the way the film interchanges from one scene to the next scene whilst keeping you on the edge of your seat. It is certainly worth watching more than once which I undoubtedly will.....buy it, watch and enjoy!

Classic Guy Ritchie film...
Classic Guy Ritchie film starring amongst others Brad Pitt. In 4k so the best picture and sound quality outside the cinema.

A great British film!
This is up there in my top 5 films, along with Lock Stock. I bought this now as I found my copy was missing. It is great value for money and a brand new seal copy arrived packed great and can't wait to sit down and watch. The same load of great quotes as Lock Stock and you'll always recall the Russian reference and the one about pigs! The inter linking story lines and the mix of actors are first class. I won't attempt to write up the story line, but it is something which should be on everyone's must watch list.
